Hotel Shivam

The hotelier agreed for early check-in without any additional charge. So we checked-in 3 hours before the actual check-in time. Later the hotelier asked us to pay Rs 1,500 stating the reason "room not available and early check-in was free if we had stayed at the hotel for a day". He then refused to give the room and asked for Rs 1,500 for 3 hours stay. It was his fault and he was putting the penalty on us. The cost of the room was Rs 1,350 for a day, and in fact I got a discount through Goibibo and I paid much less than Rs 1,350 for a complete day stay (while booking). The hotelier was rude, adamant and selfish. The rooms were stinking. The food was average. The hotelier suggested me not to cancel the booking with Goibibo so that he can get the money from Goibibo. He said he will not charge Rs 1,500 if I don't cancel the booking. He was cunning.

we stayed there for a night. since it was December, all the rooms were booked, hence we got room on 3rd floor where there's no lift. This is the major drawback. the food in the restaurant is good. location is on main road itself. Room is small, a bed and few luggages will fill up the room completely. This is recommended only if you roam outside and use this for night stay.

The ventilation in rooms is not great. If frequent in-outs are needed, then living on upper floors might be inconvenient due to no lift. Good enough for night hold providing value for money.

When I went to check in I was told that they by mistake left the inventory open and cannot accommodate me. This is pathetic how can you disregard a confirmed booking
