A Disappointing Stay at 12 Monks: A Detailed AccountMy recent stay at 12 Monks left me with a myriad of experiences that I feel compelled to share. The hostel, which had garnered positive reviews and recommendations, unfortunately, fell short of expectations in several aspects.Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff and swiftly checked in, but my initial enthusiasm soon waned. Despite ample parking space, I was asked to park my vehicle outside the property, a small inconvenience that set the tone for the rest of my stay. I requested temporary parking to allow me to freshen up before leaving for an outing, and this request was approved for a few minutes.The washroom experience was equally underwhelming, with the shower dispensing water at erratic temperatures, making for an uncomfortable and unpredictable bathing experience. It was evident that this issue was known to the staff, which added to the disappointment.Moving to the dorms, my request for a lower bunk bed was met with assurance that one was available. However, upon my return from an outing, I found the bed still unclean and unprepared despite prior assurances. After multiple attempts to resolve this with the manager, only the bedsheets were changed, leaving me questioning the overall cleanliness and attentiveness to guest needs.The lack of power backup became evident when the electricity suddenly cut out, leaving me without access to essential amenities such as Wi-Fi. This highlighted a significant infrastructure issue that I believe is essential for any reputable hostel.Later in the evening, upon returning to the hostel after spending time with a local friend, I found myself locked out. There was no staff present to assist me, despite my efforts to reach them through various means. After knocking and calling for over ten minutes, I resorted to applying pressure to the gate to gain entry, a situation that left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced.As if this wasn't enough, I was then welcomed by a rather intimidating-looking black dog To avoid alarming the dog, I refrained from entering the dorm and instead sat in the common area. The dog eventually joined me, and despite initial apprehension, I managed to establish a tentative rapport with it. However, when I attempted to go to my room, the dog followed me, and I found myself in a challenging situation with no staff available to assist. Despite my efforts to guide the dog out, it ultimately entered the dorm and sought to settle in, presenting a significant safety and comfort concern. Only with the help of a fellow guest was I able to resolve this situation.In recounting these experiences, it is clear that my stay at 12 Monks was far from the positive and welcoming experience I had anticipated. I hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and addresses these issues to provide better experiences for future guests.It is my sincere hope that 12 Monks can make the necessary improvements to ensure a more pleasant and secure stay for its guests in the future.Lack of security and poor management.

the stay was pathetic. starting with the room , it was more like h hut with roof of bamboo. the room were too small and uncomfortable. the washroom was way way way tooo small. Overall there was wierd smell. Rude staff. Breakfast didn't have maggie which is so basic and taste of other food was poor. not worth 7k at all.

washrooms not good and property management is not that great nd friendly...food is expensive nd quantity very less food quality is good. A stay is a place where you should feel like home nowadays it all business.

the property was decent and was at easily accessible location with parking for both two and four wheelers. live music at evening along with a nice ambience at cafe.
