“Hospitality beyond compare!!!” Being frequent travelers with a keen eye for detail, I can safely say that it is not easy to please me and my better half when it comes to hospitality. Finding almost all major Bangalore weekend getaways booked over the long weekend (15th August) we decided on a trip to Calicut, and boy were we pleasantly surprised! The Gateway Beach Hotel tucked away amidst the greenery of Calicut beach really does know how to please their guests. A smile from each and every one of their staff, efficient check-in/ check out, swift room service, proper upkeep of elegant interiors and a crystal clear swimming pool are a few things that need commending. Gone are the days of just customer satisfaction, and The Gateway Hotel Calicut sure have captured the art of providing customer delight. Their breakfast spread too was quite lavish with attentive staff ever willing to lend a hand. I am not too sure if this hotel qualifies as a 5 star or 4 star property but can definitely vouch for the fact that they make their guest feel like stars, and isn’t that what hospitality is all about? Their Vasco Da Gama suite room is the perfect blend of Vintage kept chic, giving a rich cozy feel. Kudos to the management and staff of this hotel, keep up the good work and never forget that the devil is in the detail.

Pros : 1. The hospitality is very good. Each and every staff is so helpful. 2. Buffet breakfast is elaborate and tasty.It is a mix of Indian, South Indian and Continental. 3. Facilities like Steam room and Kids swimming pool are good. Cons: 1. Though the swimming pool is good, the setup was lil old. 2. No separate play area for kids Overall experience: All staffs are well mannered. The General Manager himself got a feedback about our stay in the property. This is a down to earth act. This shows how much they are taking care of their guests. This is the standard of Taj. Food was yummy. Hotel is calm and peaceful. Value for money . Really enjoyed our stay.

We loved the stay at the property. It's very well managed with proper sanitation and cleaning process is in place. We felt really safe staying here even when the covid cases were rising. This is mainly because of the safety protocol they were following. The rooms are spacious and the food was great. Would definitely recommend this place to people travelling to Calicut.

A very beautiful hotel with delightful staff. This is definitely the best service we ever received in any Taj hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the food is excellent. Special mention for all the staff members in the restaurant who were very warm, helpful and attentive to us. Keep up the good work, Gateway Taj Calicut! 😊💜

Very Good Hotel well maintained. The hotel is located very close to the beach. The staff is very nice and ensured our stay was comfortable.The breakfast was very good but we did not quite enjoy the Buffet dinner. It was 8:30 PM and some starters were not even ready. Most of the food was very bland.in dinner.

Was a very good stay, we actually stayed there twice and both times got free upgrades. food is very good, bar though is not the ones like in the big cities but does the job just right. rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very good would recommend a stay.

My experience was absolutely amazing. The room was neat and clean. And well maintained. The only negative i would say is that the Snooker table was not functional and i expected to play snooker during the stay which was not possible..
