The Hosteller Kareri

A very thoughtfully designed hostel in a small village called Kareri, about an hour's drive from Dharamshala. The property is operated & managed very well by Ishan(s), Rajeev and their team. The views of the valley and the Dhauladhar range offered from this property are unparalleled. It's one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed at, and the room I put up in was very comfortable. The staff at Rain's Kareri Cafe (situated on the terrace of the hostel) cooked up some delicious meals whenever I was hungry (I highly recommend: cheese parantha & peanut butter milkshake). Never felt like a "guest" over here, it became a close knit community over the course of the week that I stayed here. I loved the village, the hostel, the people and the vibe so much that I extended my stay her, not just once, twice but THRICE! Hoping to go back for much longer than a week, soon. 💛

So those of you who want peace and work from home or workstations, this place is great. The best infact. However reach and access is a costly affair. Any private taxi operator from Dharamshala takes 1500 bucks. So better if it's a group or sharing.Public transport leaves you 12Km short and on mountains 12 km seems like at least thrice it's distance. Roads though there are frequently disturbed by landslides. Lots of twist and turns and the ever rising climb.But if you can manage the transport and reach the spot then it's a bliss.The hostel has boarding lodging food and a comfy stay. You wouldn't have many complaints here.Do visit and enjoy Serenity.no company

Most amazing hostel, both pvt rooms n dorms are very good, with breathtaking view, super clean rooms n bedding, parking facility available, 5/5 for food n ambiance, n Abhishek manages this place he is super friendly n helpful. the only issue is in reaching that place a rough patch of about 5 km's is there but once u reach there it's 200 percent worth going there. do visit it n enjoy a peaceful vacation💯🍾💯.

The stay was super comfortable. I could see mountains and stars from my room window. I loved it so much. We stayed for 4 nights and the host was super cooperative and helpful at every step. He guided us with all the needed information and things to do in Kareri. Going to the water pool everyday was the highlight of the day. Thank you so much Aryan for everything.
