The Kothi Village Stay

Hello Sat Sri Akaal ji I am deeply passionate about Punjabi culture, heritage, and the beauty of meaningful human connection. Sharing the warmth, traditions, and spirit of village life with guests is something I truly cherish. I am a yoga and meditation teacher and also offer holistic wellness and lifestyle guidance for guests who are interested in exploring mindful living, self-care, and healing traditions. My approach to hospitality is rooted in creating experiences that nourish not only the body, also the heart spirit. Born in Delhi and having lived in United States for 30 years, I now divide my time between India and the US. This blend of cultures has shaped my hospitality style , warm, grounded, open-hearted, and deeply personal. I love food, wellness, storytelling, nature, music, and the simple moments that bring people together in pure joy. As one of the owners and caretakers of this ancestral property, built by my great-great-grandfather over a century ago, this home holds deep emotional and cultural significance for me. For over 20 years, I have had the joy of welcoming guests from around the world and creating stays that are immersive, heartfelt, memorable. More than accommodation, I hope to offer guests an experience of belonging, culture connection. Guests have the opportunity to experience Punjabi village life in unique, meaningful ways: village walks and local storytelling, traditional Punjabi meals, interacting with villagers and artisans, bhangra, giddha, and dhol experiences, exploring local farms and seasonal rhythms, reconnecting with childhood joy through traditional village games, taking a refreshing dip in the tube well, relaxing under open skies and among nature, or simply slowing down and experiencing a different pace of life. Experiences are personally curated according to each guest’s requirement. I am personally present at the property during much of the winter season, especially between November and March. Even when away, I am closely involved and can curate and coordinate guest experiences with care. My hope is that every guest leaves not only with beautiful memories, but with a deeper feeling of connection, to the land, the culture, the people, and perhaps even to themselves.
