We are very sorry that the guest is dissatisfied with their stay. However, there are a few inconsistencies we would like to point out. We confirm that the guest had booked a king bedded room and the same had been reserved for the guest. The hotel was full and the previous occupant of the room checked out late. A twin bedded room was only temporarily assigned to them while the room was getting ready, which was given to them within 20 minutes of arrival. Further, as compensation for the delay, the guest was promised a 24 hour checkout instead of the normal checkout time of 10am at no extra cost. We categorically deny that there was anything wrong with the room in terms of cleanliness or working and are ready to display a video for the same. Service being slow is the perception of the guest. The guest has placed an order at 20.45 and was served within 20 minutes. Guests have had soup and then dinner, and finished by 21.40 at which time they have placed an order for dessert which has been served, eaten and bill settled by 22.05. Apart from this they have had buffet breakfast and a single order of room service. At dinner time, the guest has consumed in its entirety the dishes they have complained about. Had they complained on being served, the dishes would have been replaced immediately with something of their choice. The guest has complained about the food at checkout. What they have not mentioned is that on learning of their complaint, as a courtesy, not just the 2 items, but the entire dinner bill has been waived by the hotel. It is a pity the guest has not mentioned that they have had 2 excellent experiences at the spa based on the handwritten comment left by them. All facts stated by us are recorded in the hotel's PMS. Further, one of the guests has demanded at the Front Desk that their entire bill be waived or they will post negative comments on social media. However, while team members are encouraged and empowered to deliver guest satisfaction, they have also been briefed not to respond to threats.
