The Mountain Huts

The most worst experience of a hotel ever. We booked two seperate rooms for two families but the hotel manager said booked rooms are not available and you have to stay in very low categoery room. After seing the conditions of the rooms (pictures attached) we refused to stay because we have already made the higher amount. Mr. Rahul, the manager clearaly said, you can cancel the booking and can search any other hotel. It was 7.00 P.M. in evening and we were new to the place so we had to stay in the same property and after lots of argument we got an option for one big room for two families. My parents slept on the bed and me, my wife and our 9 year old kid slept on one sofa cum bed which was very small and mattress was very umcomfirtable.The hotel staff was very rude, all services like canteen, cleaning, service staff was pathetic.Everytime we had to wait for at least 2 hours for food and there are only 10% items available from the whole menu. Even they did not have bread/bread items in the morning for breakfast.The hotel had made the whole trip experience bad and we would like to say that please research a lot before booking and hotel because it can ruin your whole trip.No special handling for senior citizens. Delay in food, no room service, uneven/uncomfortable ways and stairs inside the property etc..Even we had to carry the luggage ourself to the rooms. The manager was shouting on the guests which we have seen first time in the life.

Prime location with a good view; However, there is a supervisor who acts like the owner of the entire Mussoorie. He was rude from the get-go; please note they have NO check-in policy after 11.30 PM, if you are traveling from far away, don't consider this place as the supervisor was bluntly rude and refused to let us in and we had to beg him as we had a kid with us. The worst part was check-out, he was at our door at 10.15 AM asking us to leave when the hotel was not even fully booked, we requested him to allow us till 11 AM but he outright refused it and said to leave in 30 mins. When you are in a business that is too customer-front, even if you are the owner of the place and let alone a supervisor, you be polite with your customers; PERIOD. We had to rush to get out and that too after spending 11K for 3 days and yet being treated like NOMADS. Keeping the Supervisor aside, the other staff we encountered were great; the canteen food was bad, especially the chai (in a hill station) can take a lot of improvement.

The hotel staff is amazing. but I didn't like my stay because the place is very high up top and is at distance of 3 kms from kempty falls. I was with my family and kid and we were very frustrated because we had no taxi to travel to kempty and it was devastating for us to commune and transport from here and there. however, of you are a trekker, you will definitely love this place because lake mist is at a 300 MTRS distance downhill from here and you can also trek to kempty downhill. however, if you are with family, don't stay here or come with your personal car or taxi.

It was an affordable stay in Mussoorie. The rooms are clean and cozy with roof top views of mountains in and around. It is a quite large campus surrounded by trees and flowers giving a pleasant feel. They are also ready to arrange food on our requirement. It will be a great place if you want to relax your holiday with your friends and family. It offers many picturesque views if you like to explore the area. But the only con is that it is quite far from Mall road, so we have to arrange separate vehicle to travel here. On the whole we had a nice time here.
