The hotel property is well-maintained, but the service was highly unsatisfactory due to inadequate staffing and staff are not well trained. Below are the issues we encountered during our one-night stay, along with suggestions for improvement: 1. Power Switch Outside Rooms: The presence of a switch outside the rooms, adjacent to the call bell, that can turn off the room’s power supply is highly concerning. This poses a security risk, as any miscreant could misuse it while guests are inside. Such a design flaw should be immediately addressed. 2. Kids' Play Area: The absence of a kids' play area is misleading, especially since it is listed as an amenity. This should either be rectified or removed from the advertised amenities. 3. Malfunctioning Facilities: The toilet flush malfunctioned and required assistance from reception to fix. The geyser stopped supplying hot water and had to be repaired during our stay. The television failed to connect to Wi-Fi, and the available channels on the set-top box were limited to free ones. The water flow in the bathroom was very low, making it inconvenient to use. The bathroom basin and mirror were unusually small, adding to the discomfort. 4. Substandard Amenities: The extra blanket provided was of poor quality, appeared used, emitted an unpleasant odor, and lacked a cover. This is unacceptable, especially when additional charges are applied for children’s stays. Despite being listed as an amenity, no newspaper was provided in the room. The coffee mugs and serving plates in the room were of cheap material. Replacing them with good-quality, white bone china crockery would significantly enhance the experience. 5. Breakfast Quality and Options: The breakfast offerings were extremely limited, with options restricted to puri-sabji, aloo paratha, poha, or sandwich—one item per person. Given that breakfast was paid for as an add-on and not complimentary, this is disappointing. Most hotels offer buffet breakfasts with at least 10 items and unlimited food. While the dinner was of good taste, the breakfast quality fell short. Tea cups were served only half-filled, which seemed insufficient. 6. Staff Training and Hospitality: The staff requires better training in hospitality to improve guest experiences. The security staff at the gate directly asked for tips by stretching out his hand, merely for saluting during entry and exit. This behavior is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the hotel’s management. In conclusion, while the property has potential, the issues outlined above must be addressed promptly to provide a better guest experience.
