The Solitaire Resort by Lawrence Hotels

Pros: 1. The hotel is conveniently located near the Picture Palace bus stand, making it easily accessible from one of Mussoorie's main transit points. 2. The hotel is about 2 km from the Library Chowk bus stand, so it’s better to check where your bus will drop you. 3. If you are arriving by cab or taxi, there is no issue as it can take you directly to the hotel. 4. Hotel rooms are well-maintained. We stayed in a room with a balcony, and the view from the room was amazing. You can enjoy your tea or drinks while admiring the mesmerizing scenery. 5. The kitchen is operational 24 hours, allowing you to order at any time. The service is fast, and the restaurant offers a fantastic view of the entire valley. 6. Although the usual check-in time is 2:00 PM, we arrived around 11:00 AM and were able to check in by 11:10 AM. Early check-in is possible if availability permits. 7. The staff is very generous and well-trained, especially those at the reception and in the restaurant. Cons: 1.The hotel is situated slightly downhill from the bus stand, requiring you to walk down and back up multiple times. 2.They should provide at least a pick-and-drop service to both bus stands. 3.If you choose an outside cab, the cost may be higher than expected. The points mentioned in the Cons are the only reason I am giving the hotel a 4/5 rating; otherwise, it would have been a perfect 5/5. Thanks

Resort was clean and maintained well. I travelled with my family and had a delayed check-in by 2 PM despite several requests & reminders. The play area has a broken toy car & bike but good enough for the kids to be engaged with foosball & carrom in fine condition. Breakfast quality & service needs to be improved. Their restaurant serves good lunch & dinner though. I booked two premium valley view rooms and they felt amazing, Room size is big and has a large secluded balcony which is best suited for couples (IYKYK). Breathtaking sunsets from there will leave you spellbound. They don't have a bar but allow liquor from outside. Picture palace side of the Mall road is a 10 mins walk away. It has also got a very spacious parking area.and you can easily drive your way into the resort. It has a nice vintage feel about it - All in all I would rate it a 4/5 property.

we had a great stay at solitaire lawrence hotel in Mussoorie. hotel staff was very courteous on arrival and also helped with special requests for my kids. rooms were clean and ready when we entered. we had a room with a beautiful view outside. infact the best part of the room was balcony view. they served good tasty food that seemed very hygienic. they allowed outside food for my kids' special reqmts. the hotel is kid's friendly. the staff was very polite and understanding. extra beds were available on request and bedding was clean. balcony view was the best part of the hotel.

i had an amazing stay at this hotel! from the moment i arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. the check-in process was quick and efficient. the room was spacious with a great view of the hills. the breakfast spread each morning was delicious and offered plenty of options. location was perfect, close to all the main attractions but still quiet enough for a peaceful night’s sleep.
