I personally had a lot of doubt while coming to this hotel as I had been to hotel Tamil Nadu madurai unit 1, but to my astonishment this was really maintained well and exceptionally good. The room was thrice the size of what we got in Madurai. The room was well arranged and very clean. They had place the toiletries in the room for our needs. The room had nice ambience and really cool AC. Everything was top-notch. The service was good. It's really awesome to wake up early with peacock cries. The place was really quiet and even though in the main City area it was properly maintained without any visible issues. The restaurant was just average and we both didn't like the food provided. Unlike madurai unit 1 they provide hot water in bathroom for 24 hours. Parking available. Overall highly recommended for vacation. The quiet peaceful place, peacock and right in the middle of the city

Watch out if you’re thinking of staying at this hotel—sleeping in your car would be a better option. The room smells terrible. The kitchen closes at 9:30 PM, so even if you order at 9:15 PM, you might not get your food. Breakfast is complimentary but limited; there are no refills. Whatever you get the first time is all you’re getting. If you order room service, don’t expect anyone to come clean the plates. With the restaurant in disrepair, you don’t have any other dining options. Avoid this property even if you’re considering it remotely.

This is a government hotel, promoted by Tamil Nadu Govt. The place is pathetic with full of mosquitos, mice lizards all moving on the floor and bathrooms. I wish if I could give negative ratings to this hotel. worst hotel. Would never recommend to anyone. Please do not book the hotel at any cost. Attached are the pics for bedroom. They have attached two takhat and made it double bed. Joke is it and not ready to accept that it is not a proper bed. Blankets are those provided in Indian trains. Pathetic !!

A traditional building (heard that built at King's era) converted into hotel. Building and rooms are spacious, decorated with big paintings and garden. Rooms are very old, including the amenities like AC. Cleanliness can be improved further, as I smelled cigerette smoke throughout in the room. Good open car parking available. Their complementary breakfast also good. Opt this hotel for a one day stay at the centre of the city.

we are senior citizens and ttdc allows 20% discounts on booking by senior citizens across tamilnadu in all ttdc hotel.we seem to have been deprived of this by booking.it's sad to know about it.thd hotel is average category.staff are nice and helping.bed sheets and towels were not up to expectations. toilet paper and soaps were not supplied as required.needs lot of improvement.

Our experience in this hotel stay is really awesome and a very pleasant stay. All the staff in the hotel are very polite and answer our questions. Food is very tasty. we tried outside hotel food too but this hotel is too good Spacious Room. Mosquito free. The park is neat and clean. My baby likes the room. especially the bed and sofa

The hotel provides the feeling of living in an ancient mansion, and considering the cost, it is fully worth it. The food is tasty and there are many beautiful areas to take photos within the compound itself. The big temple and cathedral of Thanjavur are close enough. The location is nice to travel to Velankanni and Trichy.

I could not even step in the room. this is such an unhygienic hotel. They have lizards and mosquitoes in the room. rooms smell like phenyl. I could not even describe state of the washrooms as could not even look at them.

Located very close to train station as well as bus station. Rooms are really big. No lift. Not much of variety of dishes at the restaurant. Complimentary breakfast served in a plate was tasty.
