HOTEL URBAN HOUSE

The hotel is good for a single day stay but not for a long stay. It is decently designed, low amenity place with a decent location. Prashant ji, the general manager of the property is particularly helpful. The drawbacks are that most of the bedsheets are torn and the blankets smell. Some rooms have insects like cockroaches etc. The staff is very rude and everybody is criticizing everybody. Nobody in the management minds it and nobody is answerable for the staff s bad behavior. The housekeeping staff and others also try and work hard to make your life miserable and even small jobs are a pain because they keep passing the buck and nobody wants to do anything. The housekeeping does not mind banging at your door at 8 am because they want to check if you have extra thermoses from the earlier day room service. Some staff lacks basic manners and human decency. I have brought it to everyone notice. Hopefully they ll work things out with the staff. It being a small hotel, you can actually hear all the politics and internal disturbances between the staff and the managers. Special mention for Brajesh (day manager) and Akash(the housekeeping staff), for being mean and toxic. I stayed with urban house for a long duration and unfortunately even after spending more than 50000 rs, I felt like I was beggar begging for basic decency and basic manners. I hope the general manager Prashant ji who was particularly helpful, controls this stupid politics.
