Acme Guest House

Worst hotel in terms of Rooms, Campus, Cleanliness, service and Manners. First the Guest House is more suitable for Backpackers and single travellers. Shabby rooms with tiny bathrooms full of mosquitos and insects. Pathetic room service, plenty of time when you seek room service the reply will come that they don't have any boy for service. Guest house is located inside busy streets of Thamel where outside cabs r not allowed. When we were checking in room boys came to main road to pick the luggages but when we checked out they asked us to pick our luggage and reach main road where cabs are available for airport. I alongwith 1 infant, wife n son had to walk for almost 1.5 KMS to get cab that too with luggages. When I asked for the receptionist to get a cycle rickshaw so that I can transport the luggages to main road she said cycle rickshaw will not come inside thamel but when v left from hotel v saw plenty of cycle rickshaws parks just outside the hotel. Receptionist is a lady who is just too cunning. She won't allow us to hire any outside cabs and when v book her cabs the driver will gives worst service than her. She charged 1500 NPR for Pashupati Nath temple tour which is hardly 10 KMS up and down. Swimming pool and garden are just for namesake. A dirty circular pool having radius of hardly 2 metres n depth of 1 metre is not good for even kids.  Conclusion: For backpackers it is an ok accomodation if it is available at cost below ***. But for family ppl it is worst....

We stayed in the hotel twice for 1 night each. During the first night, there were no toileteries, pillow covers, water bottles in the room. As for the breakfast they only provide toast butter jam and an omlette. Not even tea or coffee. While coming back for the second night I complained of the above issues to the hotel owner himself. He immediately reprimanded his staff for the same and gave us a similar room on a different floor. This time the staff provided the basic toileteries along the towels too, but no water bottles. I had to go to the reception at 11pm and brought the bottles from there. In the morning we found that the shower was not working but didn't report it.

Nice hotel situated at a nice location within a busy market. It is not purely accessible for people with disabilities but the hotel staff is amazing. Very good hospitality... highly Impressed and would definitely love to visit again.

It's a very nice, safe, clean and comfortable budget hotel located in the center of the city. Hotel management lead by Mr Mukesh Bhatia is very cooperative, courteous and helpful. Would strongly recommend for family travelers.
