This is an Old, but Very Large Hotel right next to the Ramada Hotel & opposite the Makkasan Railway Station in the Pratunam Area of Bangkok. The Lobby is Massive, the Check-in was Smooth, the Room was Good and the Bed was Comfortable too. They however still provide a Conventional Key for the Room Door & need to upgrade to a Swipe Card. The Breakfast had a Large Spread, but mostly catering to the Local Taste, so there was not much that we could eat from it. While there was a Live Egg Station, all they offered was Fried Eggs & no Omelette, Scrambled Eggs, Boiled Eggs, Poached Eggs, etc. The Fresh Fruit Selection was also Very Poor with just Pineapple & a Local Melon which was Hard and not tasty. The Salad Bar was also not exhaustive. The Bread Selection was just Sliced Bread and a Local Bread Toasted at a Live Counter (which was Tasty), but there were No Croissants, No Danish Pastries, No Muffins, No Rolls, No Buns, No Yogurt, No Cheese, No Ham, No Bacon and No Pork Sausages or any other Pork Items. Also for all the 3 Breakfasts that we had there, the Breakfast was the same and there was no change in any of the items. The Swimming Pool is Large and Good for Swimmers as it is Very Deep. The Steam & Sauna is however not Free even for Hotel Guests and is Chargeable. The Service is ok, but whilst some staff are always smiling, many others are grumpy and not friendly. Overall, a good stay if you are not too particular about the Breakfast variety.
Bangkok Palace Hotel is huge, like 75 rooms on each floor. Staffs are not too friendly and they have a weird policy of depositing 2000 THB per room. We had 3 rooms booked and they asked us to deposit 6000 THB mandatory. Now my 6000 THB are blocked till the last day of the trip because hotel will give me back only on checkout on last day. We requested to keep 2000 THB as all the 3 rooms are booked on single PNR but they rudely denied. Also they take just cash, no cards accepted for deposit. Rooms are cozy and comfortable with good view. Other amenities are good value for money. Pool closes at 6 PM. Breakfast spread is good with Indian items also available like upma, daal makhni, etc. On last day they kept the luggage also in cloak room till evening before we left for airport. Since Bangkok Palace Hotel is huge, lobby is most of the time crowded but overall good experience. Many Indian restaurants nearby, Garam Masala is the best one. They are the only one to give unlimited buffet with amazing tasty food.
Hotel is 5 star property and very good hotel on this price and have more than 500 rooms are there I think. Rooms are also neet and clean, but one thing makes upset that they takes too much long time for check-in and they didn't provide any bellboy for luggage to your room. And main disappointed thing was that they clear breakfast 10am sharp, within 5 minutes they clear all things from buffet stall. They didn't wait and attend and care to any if someone need some thing to take in there plate from buffet stall. I will suggest, if you want to book this hotel then don't book with breakfast. U can have breakfast by paying a less price then booking with breakfast package. Otherwise hotel is in good location n for Indian tourist there are too many indian restaurants near hotel just walking distance.
Very big star hotel , i got with cheaper price from Goibibo. Nice city view from hotel. delicious breakfast. budget Indian lunch / dinner buffet ( 199THB + taxes, arround 235THB per person). Near to Airport link metro station ( just 800m, 10mins walk). near by seven-eleven supermarket to buy necessary things. neat and clean rooms, polite staff. They will keep our luggage in their cloak room for free of cost even after checkout. The only disadvantage is they will take 2000THB advance as a deposit and that will be returned while checkout. if you carry less forex then the money will be blocked. WiFi is chargeable. Balance everything is good. Nice ambiance and Delicious breakfast.
Sir, I booked two Rooms at Bangkok Palace Hotel and our Room no. is 1027 & 1029. Our booking is upto 8th April till 12 Noon but due to some unavoidable reason we have to leave Bangkok in the afternoon of 7th April i.e 6 PM of 7th April. There is a provision of 50% rent if one vacate any Room at 6 P.M. I have talked in the reception desk of Bangkok Palace Hotel and they are telling to contact ** for any refund. If possible you please contact with ***for below mentioned details: 1. We will vacate one room at 12 Noon of 7th April. 2. We will vacate another room at 6 P.M on 7th April for our final journey to India. .........
Gud place and the staff is also ok but not that co operative, basically stick to Bangkok Palace Hotels rules and regulation. For Check out time these people are very punctual. Also it takes atleast 20-30 min for Bangkok Palace Hotel staff to settle down at the final payment after you drop down your room keys, so plz check out a little early if you want to catch the flight. Ask for rooms with swimming pool facing. There is a bar near swiming pool; but the swiming pool are ia available only till 6 pm.
Hotel is very good for price offered. Near to popular markets. Near to Indian hotels and pure veg hotel. Pros :- 1) Big Room and nice connectivity even via metro train to Airport. 2) Near to popular shopping markets. 3) Near to Indian food restaurants. Cons :- 1) Staff service is very slow. Even for small process like check in and check out they will take 30-35 min. 2) Wi-fi connectivity throughout hotel is poor. But overall for the price offered its value for money so I will rate 3.5/5.
Excellent property. Have been maintained like a heritage hotel. Big property. Super clean. The room was super clean and well maintained. Its a old property, but maintained super well. All my appreciation for the maintenance staff. I would not want to go to any other hotel than this....if i go back to Bangkok. Extremely reasonable at the cost. The location is in the centre of market area and very close to metro station.
although it's a very old property , it's maintained very well .. the rooms were tidy & bathrooms were also clean .. but reduced 1 star for the breakfast which was bad since there were not many options for indian food & whatever was there was not at all inviting .. overall I would suggest this hotel for it's location as the pratunam market & many major malls are within walking distance from it ..
This a centrally located hotel in Bangkok. Indra market, Platinum mall are at walking distance. You can reach Bangkok Palace Hotel by MRT from Subarnabhumi Airport. The nearest metro statiom is Ratchaprarop which is next to Bayok tower. On check in they ask for THB2000 per room as security deposit. We got a good deal from Ibibo for 2 rooms 04 nights. Bangkok Palace Hotel staff are courteous.
The location of Bangkok Palace Hotel was good. The rooms were well maintained according to the tarrif they charged. Staff was very courteous. I could have given 5 out of 5 but only one small thing they have a huge reception area unlike other hotels but there was no one to manage that area. The reception staff was also not happy to welcome the guests. Rest everything was perfect.
Bangkok Palace Hotel is quite big and the location is very prime. 10 mins walking distance to Indra square and palladium. Near the back gate you will find multiple Indian restaurants which serve punjabi, gujarati, jain, andhra food. The in hotel restaurant alsi serves indian meal. But limited Indian breakfast options. The staff was courteous. Rooms very clean.
One of the best place to stay in Bangkok. Near by to indian restaurants and also for indira square for shopping. View from Bangkok Palace Hotel room is awsm. Most of the indians stay in this place. But there is no service to Bangkok Palace Hotel room in case if u need anything you have to go out and buy.
Hotel is at a place from where you can roam around the main places conveniently. Very near to Pratunam mkt, platinum mall and Indira market. Many Indian hotels nearby including Chotiwala and Sanjha Chulha. Hotel is also very nice with all amenities, City view room facing pool at 7 floor was great....
Overall stay good. There's language problem though. The staff doesn't understand your language, but they will still try to help you as much as they can.The rooms are a bit small because Bangkok Palace Hotel is old.But the view is the best thing. Pool is large and clean.
very good, clean and specious rooms, staff is very friendly, prompt services always. Good choice for indian B/f, very coperative staff. very close to market. very near to metro station which help to get back to Suvarnabhumi Airport. extremely recommended to visitors.
staff need to understand more English and should be behaved with good hospitality. Reception service was excellent Room Service ok surrounding area service poor swimming pool side staff service very very poor. need to improve above point thanks...Deepak Singh
This is a excellent resort with amazing service quality and cleanliness and location very well maintained to the superior levels and the location is also fantastic keeping all the aspects in mind I find this hotel a very good option to stay in Bangkok.
hoyel is in main bangkok near MBK mall, near the shopping place and best part surrounded near the indian resturants...only issue with Bangkok Palace Hotel they dont serve vareity of indian foods but never mind ...resturants I can find near by only...
It was quite good at right place. Near to Indra Square, Night market and so many Indian Restaurants and Thai Street food around. Breakfast was really good with a lot of options. Staffs are good. Cons: found few cockroaches at my room and bathroom.
