I’m the host of Aurora Skyview Penthouse, a luxury homestay in Guwahati that I started in 2023. The idea came from a personal experience or rather, a recurring frustration. As someone who loves to travel, I often found myself searching for beautiful, well-designed homestays that offered both comfort and character. But more often than not, I’d end up in places that looked nothing like the photos or lacked the warmth and quality I was hoping for. That’s when I decided to create the kind of stay I always wished I could find and what better place to do that than in my own city? A little about me I’ve always had a strong appreciation for interiors, hospitality, and thoughtful design. I believe the place you stay should be just as memorable as the places you visit. It should reflect the spirit of the city while giving you space to relax, unwind, and feel at home. With Aurora, I wanted to create a penthouse experience that brings together all those elements clean design, peaceful ambiance, great lighting, and a view you’ll want to wake up to. Aurora Skyview is for travelers who value details the way sunlight filters through a window, a soft throw blanket at the end of the bed, a quiet corner to sip coffee. Every part of the space is designed to feel intentional, minimal yet warm, luxurious but welcoming. Since opening, I’ve had the pleasure of hosting guests from all over solo travelers, couples, families and the one thing they often say is how calm and comforting the space feels. For me, that’s the most fulfilling part of hosting: knowing that someone found a sense of home here, even for a short while. Aurora isn’t just a homestay. It’s a personal project, a reflection of my love for slow living, mindful design, and good hospitality. Whether you’re visiting Guwahati for the first time or coming back to familiar roots, I hope Aurora gives you a peaceful pause in your journey and a place you’ll want to return to.
