BURJ Baneria - A Boutique Homestay

"Best example for what constitutes a home stay"This is one place which will remain etched in my mind forever. The path leading up to this property is simply driving like a hill climbing. There is beautiful greenery all around, birds flying in the breeze and the mesmerizing sound of fireflies coming through the mountain in the back. I and my cousin visited this homestay. Without doubt one of the favorite homestays I stayed during my time in Udaipur! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Miss Veena Vyas. She is extremely sweet and has bang-on sense of humor. The family was extremely friendly. We had a evening here, with an ultimate view of Udaipur from the rooftop & the home-cooked food which obviously added up to the experience. We spent our evening at the rooftop as two of my cousin has to do the WFH. Lalit and his team setup all the arrangements on the rooftop for the work. The warm gesture by the end of the evening was amazing. The whole family came on to the rooftop and personally greeted one and all. The owner's son has shared his powerful binoculars to look at the beauty around.However, what makes this place more beautiful is Miss Veena Vyas. She is an amazing lady & very down-to-earth person and will take care of your each and every need. She has become a great friend to mine and promised to meet one of her best friend (Leopard from nearby jungle). Haha, jokes apart. The service, ambiance, food, and hospitality can't be found in 5-star hotel.Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for Miss Veena Vyas, owner's son, Lalit and hotel's team, who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Miss Vyas and owner's son. Staff was extremely friendly and polite. Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. The view from the rooftop is top of the class. The peace and serenity is nowhere to get. We would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again.

Room - I absolutely loved the room. The view it has to offer is almost magical. The view during day time is good but at night it just feels as if you are seeing an unreal scenic view. From cleanliness to beauty, I would rate everything 5 out of 5. Location - Burj Baneria is located at the outer of the city. It took us around 20-30 mins from railway station to reach there. However, we wanted our stay to be at a peaceful place, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. So, the location was not an issue with us. But if you want to book a hotel/homestay near the major tourist sites then this is not a place for you. I would rate 4 out of 5. Conveyance - Since it's located at the outer, you will find it difficult to book ola,uber or even local autos. We booked an auto for the whole day (contact provided by the staff of Burj Baneria) and the conveyance was sorted for us. However, they take around 1200-1500 per day. So, you can plan accordingly. One may opt for hiring bikes as well. I would rate 3.5 out of 5. Food - Their inhouse rooftop restaurant has an excellent view to offer. We loved the breakfast over there. However, dinner was not upto the mark (we ordered hot n sour, garlic chicken, afghani chicken). I would rate 3 out of 5. Staff and Owners - Very humble and highly co-operative staff.

Location: Slightly remote, but connected well to main city on one side and Lake Pichola Boating Point on the other. Remoteness of the place is also rewarding in terms of the peacefulness and view that you get of the city. From the terrace, you get a 180° view of the entire city. Comfort: It's an Airbnb with some elements of a guest house/hotel. There is no room service, but you can have food on the terrace from the adjoining kitchen. The rooms are well maintained in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. If you bring liquor, you can have the arrangements for drinks made on the terrace. Food: Food is average with very limited options. I would recommend having lunch and dinner elsewhere unless you've plans for evening drinks on the terrace. Breakfast is fairly standard, so a combined package with complimentary breakfast can be a good idea. Hosts: Rajeev and Veenu are good hosts, and are available to cater to your needs at all times. The owners probably need to staff up the place with more professional people on catering and security as the staff keeps switching roles, which can be hassle especially with more number of guests. This would make the place better in terms of management. The view.

Words fall short to describe the hospitality of the hosts and property. We had booking for a 2 day stay but had to cut short to 1 day due to a medical emergency. We had excellent support of Mr. Pranay Raj Singh, Ms. Shivika Singh and Mr. Jay Singh. They treat you like a member of their family and give personal attention and care to everything. The property is a Homestay with 8 rooms, has an amazing view and location on Lake Pichola. Our room and bathroom were very clean and just had the right amenities. The view of the lake from our room was enchanting. The roof top restaurant has a lovely view of the lake.The food was really good. Thanks to lil cute Manish who served us to the roof top restaurant. Checkin is quick. Ms Shivika and Mr. Jay explained us the property and surroundings while checking in. I would strongly recommend this property to all those who want to relax for couple of days. Its personal care & touch of the hosts that cannot be experienced in hotels. Would like to visit again. Want a nice, quiet, clean property without extra frills.
