I am Capt. Sujay Hegde (Retd), a former officer of the Indian Army, having proudly served with the 18th Battalion of the Jammu & Kashmir Rifles. After completing my tenure in the Armed Forces, I returned to my roots in the serene Western Ghats to pursue my passion for nature, hospitality, and sustainable living. Captains Camp was born out of a vision to create a peaceful retreat where guests can reconnect with nature while enjoying warm, personalized hospitality. What started as a humble initiative on our family’s agricultural land has now grown into a nature camp that welcomes travelers seeking tranquility, adventure, and an authentic local experience. As a host, I believe in simplicity, discipline, and attention to detail values instilled in me during my years in the Army. I take personal interest in ensuring every guest feels comfortable, safe, and at home.
