HOTEL GOLDEN ORCHID

HOSTILE CUSTOMER SERVICE - AVOID AT ALL COST (30 minutes delay by hotel staff for check-in after booking in advance, no compensation - sweltering summer of late June 2025)This is one of the biggest mistakes I made during this travel. I am not familiar with services in the town and the hotel looked alright so I booked with full advanced payment. The infrastructure is good but the staff will make you miserable. They have been defensive from the get go regarding any and all inquiries. They gave me a room without a functional handle to the bathroom and said they had no other room. The phone did not work and the staff told me if I wanted to speak to reception or order room service, I should use my own phone. The call button for housekeeping or privacy did not work for my room. I stayed for 2 days and on the first day they said they could not arrange the breakfast buffet because of low number of guests. They gave me poori-sabzi and offered no other alternatives or refunds. I had already paid for this service in full, too. On check out, when I asked to speak to the manager for service misses and refunds, the manager wasn't available on premises. The front desk staff tried the GM who refused to handle the situation as well. Finally, the manager, on the follow up call by the front desk staff, agrees to speak to me and also agrees to providing a solution but as he hangs up, there was no resolution. The staff got into a heated argument about the issues I raised and made it absolutely difficult to leave with their continued hostility and threatening behavior. The front desk lady advised me to stay for another 30 minutes post check-out to make up for the initial service miss, how absurd! I travel frequently for work and never in my travels have I seen such poor and incompetent behavior. If you believe you can have a stay without staff interaction, go for it. The amenities are good but good luck trying to get it to a bare minimum functional standard for a pleasant stay. Safe travels!

Amazing Experience at Hotel Golden Orchid! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Golden Orchid in Dibrugarh, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and well-appointed with all the modern amenities one could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the view from my room was simply breathtaking. The hotel’s attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the decor to the impeccable service. Dining at their restaurant was a culinary delight. The variety and quality of the food were top-notch, and the staff was always attentive and eager to accommodate any requests. I particularly enjoyed the local Assamese dishes, which were a true highlight. The hotel’s location is perfect, providing easy access to the city’s attractions while still offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The staff at Hotel Golden Orchid truly go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels valued and well-cared for. Their dedication to exceptional service is commendable. In summary, Hotel Golden Orchid in Dibrugarh exceeded all my expectations. It’s the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dibrugarh. I can’t wait to return for another memorable stay!

It was a nice experience. Room was good, but room service/house cleaning services could have been better. Food was good. Breakfast was of same type almost everyday, except one/two dishes changing. Okay for stay for short term as I personally felt price is a bit high compartively. overall nice. No disturbance from outside/roadside.

Staff are gentle, well cooperative, helpfull, rooms are too clean , spacious room , well and usefull decoration, location is good (main road) food quality very good. only problem food can't be order half quantity ( this single person ).
