Very good homestay option in Valparai. Just 700m from the main junction, where you have a lot of shops and hotels. There are a few decent small hotels just 100–150 meter's from this homestay with good breakfast options and tea and coffee. The host is very good at guiding you on how to spend time in Valparai, where food will be good, and where to buy good tea, chocolates, etc. We stayed for three nights, and the rooms were decent. I got a portion that had two rooms with double beds and one hall. Hall had a TV with a local cable connection. Bathrooms were not exquisite, but clean and tidy. They had a kitchen too, which we didn't use much. They have rooms facing the valley, which is quite a pleasant view in the morning. We could do a morning walk into the nearby valley and into the tea estate, which was very relaxing. They had parking spaces for 2–3 cars. We went with two cars and had no parking issues during the entire stay. The host served coffee or tea at a very reasonable price on demand, and it was very good. Overall, a pleasant stay is highly recommended for families. The host was extremely helpful.

We booked the stay, while we are at Athirapilly, the very next second, the host Sreejith called and informed us about the Vazhachal check post timing. When we reached Homestay, Sreejith's brother Ajith welcomed us and briefed about Valparai and the tourist destinations there. They also provided us with one of the biggest rooms available. Both the brothers are Jovial, friendly, and smart. The bed, blankets and toilet are neat, clean and hygiene. They offered us complimentary tea when we reached at night. They have good knowledge about Valparai and the best restaurants nearby. We felt this stay as we are staying at home. The view through the window was magnificent. We prefer this homestay on our next visit and will recommend to friends and families.

I have done so many bike trips, this was the best homestay i had. 1. Great hospitality 2. Very friendly and helping. 3. Safe place and Safe parking 4. Wonderful view from room 5. At the entrace of Valparai and 1km away from town which is good, no hustle bustle They know in and out of Valparai, so much stories and information to hear from them. If i plan Valparai again this will be my stay again. Thank you very much for the complimentary dinner and tea. Dinner was great i will never forget that. Safe and near to town and center for all places to visit. Safe parking no need to worry about my bike.

I stayed with my family for 2 days. The property was well maintained and had Avery beautiful scenic view from my room. The host was very courteous and very helpful. He upgraded our room to a bigger one which was a pleasent surprise. The main town bus stand is at a walkable distance where you can do local shopping. Variety of small mess are available within walking proximity. Room was spacious enough to accommodate 2 adult and 1 kid. Overall had a very plesant stay.

The room was neat and the owner was very responsive and helpful. The only thing is items like soap and towel could be there already rather than provided after we asked for. also the bathroom was small(standard non AC room had a slightly bigger bathroom where we stayed the third night) if you are not looking for a fancy room but just looking for a neat room and a responsive owner at low cost you can try this.

I have stayed with my family for 2 nights at green mount homestay. With its name itself indicates homestay, we feel same like staying at home and services over the room was excellent. Quality and taste of food, they as a family providing was awesome. Very safe place to stay with family & enjoy your vacation with pleasant & peacefuly. Tea estate view in morning and evening was very beautiful.
