Disappointing Experience at Kasar Himalaya Holiday HomeOur stay at Kasar Himalaya Holiday Home from May 2-4, 2025, was marred by poor service and unprofessional behavior from the owner and receptionist. Despite the resort having few guests, they insisted we order dinner, denying us plates if we didn't comply. They even objected to us bringing snacks from outside, leading to unnecessary arguments. But since we had kids, we had to get some snacks, chips, Amul Milk, cakes etc for them from cafes outside the hotel.The final bill included unjustified charges, such as "1000 rs dirty towel charges" and extra sundry expenses, which seemed like a revenge tactic. They also charged more than amount agreed for the 2nd day. When we questioned these charges, the staff became aggressive and made unacceptable remarks,Given this experience, I strongly advise against visiting this resort and consider refunding our money.*Rating:* 1/5 stars

This is one of the best holiday home I have stayed in the hills. The old adage, don't judge a book by it's cover goes well with this property as the outside look doesn't give the traveller the very best impression. When you enter the property, it is majestically designed and at the lap of the nature with clean rooms, high standard of hygeine and warm camaraderie with the property staff and the owner. They take special attention for every guest and it feels like home. The staff are will trained with great support. Moreover, the food quality is par excellence. The magnificent view of the mighty Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Nanda Kot looks pristine and gives peace and solace to the mind. Homely environment and great care and support.

It is an amazing property at a very picturesque locations with great food and awesome hospitality. Within the walking distance from the famous kasar devi temple, the location is on the hippie trail so you are likely to find many finangs also while taking a walk. The homestay is located on a ridge with great views on the valley downwards. It is a newly constructed property with lovely woodwork and is under the personalized care of its owner Sh Gopal Singh, who was an amazing host. The restaurant and the food both were amazing and you get a taste of pahadi hospitality also. Overall, it is a must visit
