Hotel Kashvi International

Hotel location: Situated almost in the heart of the city, I would say it's a good place to stay, just outside but still in the vicinity of the main city. Reception and checkin: To my surprise, the reception very casually dismissed my confirmed booking as not confirmed and unacceptable .... I didn't have much trouble to get goibibo on the call and asked them to call the hotel and get me the confirmation. While that was happening, they asked me to show them the amount I paid for the booking and did some calculations and the agreed to give me the room ..I had booked 2 rooms of which 1 was for my father but was informed that the lift doesn't stop on the 1st floor. Since my father cannot walk up the flight of stairs, I was given 1suite that I had booked on the first floor and had to take 2nd normal room on the 2nd floor for my father. Room: First impression, the door didn't open and the bell boy struggled with it for quite a while. Then the room door opened but couldn't close it! The suite is spacious and good. The bathroom shower could be repaired to make it easier to shower. Also, the hotel has electrical water heaters that don't heat up water. After giving all the story about a carpenter coming to fix my door, nothing actually happened, I slept after forcing the door shut with brut force without actually locking it. Rooms service and food: Had just ordered snacks, excellently made chicken tangri. Other stuff was also good. Room service was prompt and courteous. Good guys. Restaurant staff was very cooperative and prompt with their service. Conclusion: Lack of choice and the fact that it's in the interiors of Orissa, I would still recommend this hotel. It's location, clean rooms and good room service and restaurant staff make it a good place.....
