Hello, I am Sherry Pandey, your host at Kathkuni Cafe and Stay in Shangarh. I am here to share the journey that brought me to this beautiful space. From a young age, I was fascinated by news reading. I would pretend to be a news anchor with a fake microphone in hand. This childhood dream led me to pursue mass communication and eventually stand in front of the camera, reading the news. It was a dream come true, but I soon realized that my creative interests lay elsewhere. I shifted to digital marketing, where I focused on helping brands grow through content writing and social media management. I still work in this field today. If you are a Gemini, especially a June Gemini, you will understand why the four walls of a room can never be our best friend. I thrive when my creative side is nurtured, and for me, that requires a change of scenery. My true calling became clear during a work trip to Shangarh. As a social media manager, I found that escaping city life made me incredibly focused and creative. I returned with strong strategies and new ideas. I realized that I needed to regularly step away from the urban rush to truly flourish in my work. This realization was the main reason I decided to set up my own space, Kathkuni, in Shangarh, one of the most breathtaking places I have ever seen. Shangarh is full of hidden gems, including the beautiful Shangarh meadow, the challenging Ganjau trek, and the stunning Barshangarh waterfall. The views from every corner are remarkable. Since opening Kathkuni, every challenge has been worth it. Hosting guests is deeply fulfilling. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, sharing local Himachali food, and organizing bonfire and musical nights in the middle of the forest. It is a feeling that is difficult to put into words. Kathkuni is more than a stay. It is a space for creativity and connection. Travelers who visit often feel inspired to return for all the right reasons. Come visit Shangarh, and let me welcome you to Kathkuni.
