Kavish Gir Lion Resort

We recently stayed at Kavish Gir Lion Resort, and while the location of the resort is undoubtedly nice — nestled close to nature and away from the chaos — the overall experience left much to be desired. The resort was completely empty during our stay, which actually turned out to be a plus point for us in terms of privacy and peace. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, which made the stay relaxing in that aspect. However, the food was a major letdown. The taste was quite bland and unremarkable, and there were very limited options available in the menu. For a resort in this price bracket, the dining experience should have been far better. The checkout experience was especially horrible. Despite the official checkout time being 10:30 AM, we started getting reminder calls as early as 9:00 AM, asking when we would leave. What followed was a series of follow-up calls almost every 30 minutes, which completely ruined the morning and gave the impression that they were just trying to push us out as quickly as possible — even though the resort was entirely empty. If it had been fully booked, we would’ve understood the urgency, but in this case, it just felt unnecessary and rude. Also, the description of "late checkout subject to availability" is quite misleading. It didn’t feel like they were willing to be flexible at all, despite the place having no other guests. Overall, this resort does not justify the price they charge. There are definitely better places to stay in Sasan Gir at similar or even lower prices, with more welcoming service and better amenities. We wouldn't recommend staying here unless improvements are made — particularly in hospitality and food service.

we stayed at the resort for 3 nights and 4 days on a family holiday, fascinated by the pics of resort online i had made my booking but upon arrival i was even more fascinated by the ambience. the resort is a perfect place for a family vacation stay. the staff at the resort are very friendly especially the resort manager mr shekhawath is always there to help you with a smile, you ask anything legitimate and mr shekhawath will get it arranged. the food is extraordinary my best compliments to the chef. finally our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable we will definitely come back to have fun filled stay.

staff found polite and helpful. i found restaurant staff more helpful.i had booked 3 rooms (2 x riverview cottage+ 1 deluxe room)in all 3 room there were no wifi, when i called reception, they said there is no wifi available in your room.in my room back side balcony light was fused.also in washroom exhaust blower was not working so washroom was stinging.the price they are charging for cottage is like 4-5 star hotel and giving service compare to that price is like 3 star.
