Machaan Wilderness Lodge - Nagarahole

The only thing I liked here is food which was ok. The rooms were clean. Can't really complain Abt insects cause it's in the plantations n Cant avoid insects. But the service is hopeless they woke me up several times to remind me Abt safari in the morning when I complained this to management they dont care Abt it. Also the safari they say it's 3 hrs and costs 1500 if u go from here which is usually only 500 if u get from nagarhole safari counter. This is a bit on top looting as it is season n can't get tickets easy at the counter. I would never recommend this for lone women travellers as it didnt seem very safe. No one is available around and only Airtel network works here no landline phones either.

pros: If you love jungle, you will enjoy Machaan and it's surroundings. But if you are expecting 5 star luxury, this is not the right place for you. Safari was nicely arranged. Although could not spot big cats and elephants, but overall jungle tour and other animal spotting was really good. Food is good and like home made. Special thanks to Mr. Somu for his great hospitality. He really bothers to make the customers happy. Rooms are pretty decent and spacious and with great jungle view. Cons: Shortage of stuffs and thus maintenance and sometimes room services too. Overall: I enjoyed being there and it was a very good trip.

It's a fantastic property. It's basically a cottage & is very close to nature as the forest is located very near to it. The property is very neat & clean & the overall ambiance of the place is very peaceful & even the view from here is very beautiful as well. The room was very cosy & comfy. Overall we had very pleasant & refreshing stay here.

Nice, Calm and wonderful stay in Machaan Nagarhole. Delicious food and hospitality. Cute cats at restaurant and free roaming dogs will make your stay pleasant. Pathway to stay from road can be done better. Do try Estate walk in morning and beware of mosquitos. Privacy and comfort. Friendly staff.
