Mishra Ganesh Shankar Homestay | Assi Ghat

I recently stayed at this charming hotel and had a wonderful experience! The location is perfect, just a stone's throw from the Ghat, making it easy to catch the evening aarti and explore other nearby attractions. The peaceful atmosphere was a breath of fresh air, and the staff were incredibly polite and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The views from my room were lovely, and the property, though nearly 100 years old, has a unique aesthetic that adds to its charm. Everything was neat and clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. While it may not offer luxury amenities, the homely environment is perfect for backpackers and those looking for an authentic experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful retreat!

We could not have asked for anything more from this guesthouse. Perfect stay! Staff showed us so much kindness and hospitality, going above and beyond to accommodate us even when we had a late check in and when we were feeling ill. The location near Assi Ghat is perfect. On a windy street you really feel like you are experiencing Varanasi! The building has lots of character! The room and batheroom were clean, tidy and comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the students practicing their music and looking at the array of instruments they have here. Price is very affordable. Would highly recommend and will definitely return here when we return to Varanasi.

I stayed here for 2 days with my family. The atmosphere was really good. Thanks to Goibibo I found this home stay with a big kitchen along with all necessary tools. Very clean washrooms both Indian and western & most beautiful greenery all around. The behavior of the whole family (Specially Sarita Ji) was really good & caring. Overall a beautiful homestay, it's so serene , we never felt that we were away from our Home, finally I'd like to say If we visit Varanasi again, we'll visit this homestay again and even recommend others too. The owner was extremely accommodating with sweet and humble behavior and allowed us to check in early.

Amidst the chaos of this city, this homestay offers a very family like hospitality with peaceful ambience, and adding to that it is not that far from the happening Assi Ghat. This place has a very rich musical heritage and foreigners can be often seen staying here for longer durations and lean music. Overall it has a great vibe and the host is also very welcoming. It also has a common kitchen where one can cook whatever they want. Loved every bit of my stay here and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a perfect budget accommodation with/without family.
