NATURES CHALET HOMESTAY

It is a great property. Around 20 kms from Sakleshpur city amidst a Coffee Plantation Estate. You will love the drive from Sakleshpur City to this property, full of twists and turns through hills. The cottages are great. Well maintained and clean washrooms. The manager Prajath is a warm welcoming man. He loves sharing his experiences and we had some really nice conversations. I had gone for a solo trip and wanted to remain close to nature. He gave me really good suggestions regarding the places I should visit and this list is completely different from what you get on Google. Got to know about 3-4 very interesting treks , did 2 of them. He also suggested some really old ancient temples and all these places were so calming and quiet. He also cooks really delicious meals. Many guests go to City to have meals. However I would recommend trying food at homestay itself. He cooks really good local delicacies and I wanted to try them the most. Loved the Bamboo Shoot Curry and Carrot Paysum that he made. Overall , food tastes great and very local. On the last day , he took me out for a morning walk , crossing Hemavathi River which is like 1 km from the property and exploring flora and fauna near the river. Also visited his fruit plantations and he gave me some really good Guavas to give to my friends. All in all he is a great host and I had a wonderful time at this property. Definitely going here when planning next trip.

Fabulous stay inside coffee plantation with super host! Misty mornings and nature sounds all around. Prajath ensures each guest is well fed and that too all local delicacies, all home cooked and served hot. You can customise your meals if prior request is shared. The price included all three meals of the day. It's designed like individual cottages with ample parking just out side the room. Rooms may needs a few upgrades like bigger wardrobe, table, chair, curtains etc. Room was kept neat and tidy. Bonfire time is 7.30 pm and i didn't miss it any of the days I stayed, wonderful experience sitting out in mist and surrounded by greenery. Hosts arranged a plantation walk, trekking to Hemavathi river which are complimentary. He also arranged for a Mahindra Jeep for a one day trip around Sakleshpur. Lateef was the driver whom I later found super enthu about photography .got some real good clicks thanks to him. Over-all very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Note: if it's too rainy the approach road of around 80 to 100 meters just before entering the gate may be slippery, but not a big deal, even small cars can make it, just need to slow down a bit.host, calm and peaceful stay. FOOD.

not a value for money stay . doesn’t have basic things like curtains, glasses to drink water, no proper roof and it’s quite cold here, no kettle , not even wifi , even the way to this is very narrow, it is difficult for even a car to reach here, nothing is available nearby, they are charging extra 300 each per person for food

Lovely location, surrounded by nature and greenery. The cottages are spacious and comfy. The property is clean. Food is very nice. Prajath is a friendly host. Just like needed. a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
