Neemrana's - Ramgarh Bungalows

Located about 30 KMS from Nainital,you are guaranteed absolute seclusion and peace at this colonial property where many prominent personalities have stayed.The property is divided into many cottages on different plots of land(uphill and downhill).We stayed at the Ashok Vatika cottage which is uphill and probably has the best views.It has 4 rooms that share a common living and dining hall.All the rooms were very well kept and had all the basic amenities one expects from a 4 star property. Very true to the advertised colonial feel,it felt very homely here with personal butlers who never frowned and looked after us very well. There are no restaurants nearby and so if you are not planning to travel your only option is to eat at the property.Food was affordable and good enough Important tips: 1. The rooms are categorized as Heritage smart,romance,splendour etc.Call up the property and find out which room belongs where.We chose the splendour which was uphill at the Ashok vatika 2. The lunch alone is compulsory at the property's restaurant which is downhill,so if you dont feel like going you can request them to deliver the food to your dining hall at the cottage 3. Ashok Vatika has 4 rooms,so if you are a family it's probably best for you as couples might need more privacy. But if you dont mind socializing then go for it Enjoy your stay, its worth the money!

The property is divided into many cottages which are quite spread out,some uphill and some downhill.We stayed at the Ashok Vatica cottage which has the best views,so one should call up the property and find out which category room belongs where (heritage splendour room is what I had chosen and so I got the Ashok vatica).The property overall is very well kept,very true to its colonial feel and has all the basic amenities one expects from a 4 star property. It feels very homely and you get personal attention from the butlers who cater to all your needs without ever frowning. If you want to avoid Nainital which is very crowded and not really worth it , please do stay here Important pointers: 1. since its secluded you will only have to eat at the property if you aren't traveling much. rates are very affordable 2. ashok vatica has 4 rooms with a common living room so it might not give you much privacy if you are a couple but great if you are a group of 6 or more 3. since the restaurant is downhill(free pickup drop)you can request for the food to be delivered at the dining hall.

Firstly, ALWAYS take the route through malla while going to the hotel from nainital. We took the route via talla and it almost got us lost so bad. Secondly, while setting Google maps put this exact name and not neemrana bungalows coz that will take you to the wrong place which has nothing aas paas. We learned this the hard way. Thirdly, it's one of the good heritage hotels which could be better since it is not very well kept and staff is too less. The place has a beautiful refreshing view with yummy food and fruit laden trees laden with peaches, apricots, plums, apples, etc. which we are allowed to pluck and eat. The view in itself is sufficient to take your mind off the busy humdrum affair of life! Go for it if you want to unwind The place is quite and has numerous spots where you can just sit chit chat, play cards while having a scenic view and enjoying nature.

It was the perfect vacation for my husband and I, celebrating our first wedding anniversary in Ramgarh. The property is stunning and well kept and the location is perfect for a serene getaway. Food was really good and the staff was really courteous. They set up a special dinner table for us for the anniversary evening with candles and flowers and just enhanced the entire experience of a private dinner party for just us. We went for a long trek and lost our way, only to run into the lovely locals for help. It was extra long and the way back was super-steep but we didn’t regret a moment of anything. Will be going back for more!
