I would say Tarangambadi was indeed a magical place and the bungalow on the beach added charm and comfort to the magic. The property us a very European colony feel and lazing on those arm chairs in the corridors of the old collectors bungalow was a amazing experience. The beach was scenic and had a small portion right in front of the hotel forming like a small pool. This is made it excellent for the kid to enjoy the waters. The food choices were limiting and this was a letdown.

Pathetic hotel crying for maintenance. Neither the rooms nor the bathrooms were maintained properly. It's a crime to stay in the place for the money they charge. On top of this the price of food is towards north for the taste. They have very limited menu and everything is charged as a hell. will never ever go back again.

amazing place to stay. lovely sea view from our room. friendly receptionist. service can be a bit slow at times but that's alright, it's not too bad. all major sightseeing places within walkable distance from this bungalow. definitely worth spending time here. we had a memorable quick getaway!

Great atmosphere for sure. Loaded with history. Makes for a very quirky stay. Property needs to aim for 5/5 stars. Beds are on the harder side. Some dishes on the menu are fabulous, others not good at all. Would i recoomend it? Yes. Does the property need some fine tuning? Yes.

A beautiful heritage hotel right on the Beach. The staff is very helpful and available to answer all your queries. The gardens are well maintained. There are some very friendly resident squirrel as well always willing to dispose of your excess food down its tiny tummy.

While booking, you're not showing the beach sided rooms. You're are showing only the ground floor rooms I checked inn and came to know that there was a room vacant facing sea side and asked for it. They refused to give one. Worst service. Worst amenities

Located right on the beach, and heritage bungalow. The places of interest in tranquebar are walkable from here. A perfect leisure place. Food was average and swimming pool was not operational. We enjoyed the stay thoroughly.

Great place to go for a happy weekend. It is always recommended to book one month prior, since it will be 100% occupied during weekends. Continental food was excellent, while south Indian food was below average.
