Hotel Prago by Green Deer,Varanasi

rooms : 4/5 - booked a deluxe room. room seemed a bit small than expected. there are different deluxe rooms available but the one we got was with no windows. - washroom was quite small. there was barely any space to stand in front of the wash basin. - room was clean. bed sheets, blankets and wall was also clean. there were few stains on wall which was okay as the room was old. - it had a cupboard with enough space for the things to fit in along with hangers for clothes. - lights were enough for the whole room which seemed quite good. - price per night seems a little higher for the room alone but other amenities provided in the room seems enough. - rooms don't have tables which in my experience is quite bad as because the food i ordered, we had to eat it on the bed itself which makes it quite difficult. also, 2 chairs should be present in the rooms. - had experienced the different deluxe room, one with the window which seemed quite spacious. washroom was also quite spacious as compared to the other room. staff & management : 4.5/5 - the staff was really nice. their way of speaking was good and they behaved nicely as well. - the person sitting at reception was nice. - food service was also good and quick. although they need a little improvement for some particular foods like bread toast and hot coffee (hot coffee seems more of milk and bread toast was not toasted at all). so they need to revisit that along with the prices of the food which seems high for some of the food. - infrastructure wise the building is nicely constructed and the rooms are built properly. other services : 4/5 - check in time is quite late which made it difficult for me as my train arrived early in the morning. as all the rooms were booked, there was no provision of early check-in for me as well. there was no guest room too where i can get ready properly. i had to use public washroom which also was not that clean. this was quite bad experience for me. i would suggest them to have atleast provision of guest room where atleast the person can get ready and leave to come back at the time of check-in. - there is no proper parking space available. - wifi gets disconnected if there is a power cut so you can't depend on this for your work if you're working on something important (happened with me a few times) - they accept digital payments which makes it quite easy. so overall i would recommend this hotel for stay as rooms are good and services provded are good as well. prices seems to be on little upper side but will provide you a comfortable stay. also, not everytime early check-in is available, so i would recommend to reach around 2 if possible otherwise guests can wait in the restaurant.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel property with a peaceful and safe environment especially for solo girl travelers. Located in the vicinity of the BHU. They provide the basic amenities including the food restaurant located beside the hotel property "ENGLISH MASALA" serves fresh and hygienic food with excellent menu options. Moreover I am claustrophobic so on especial request the receptionist changed my room to more spacious and ventilated room. Staff at the hotel are well trained and polite. hopefully looking forward for my next stay again at the same property 👍safe and peaceful with cooperative staffs

Hotel Prago has all basic Amenities with proper maintenance of Cleanliness. Cooperative Staff. Their Restaurant "English Masala" attached with the hotel serves delicious delicacies. It is very close to the BHU Lanka Gate(walking distance of 2 mins). Also, it's distace from the Assi Ghat or the Dashaswamedh ghat and Vishwanath temple isn't too far. This Hotel provides a calm and noise free environment unlike the ones near the Ghats bcuz of the chaos. Also this hotel is very easy to locate in a city full of lanes and streets. 👌👍

Staffs were very co-operative. Location of the hotel is very near to IIT BHU, but the roads are very congested. There is a car parking in the hotel but not in use due to some issue with it, we had to park our car outside, although there was a security guard to look into. The rooms are neat and clean having all the required amenities.
