Seclude Ramgarh, Taradale - Heritage Villa

My Seclude Teradale experience As always, the booking experience with Goibibo was smooth and hassle-free. 👌 We checked into the cottage around 1 PM. The property is located in a fairly isolated area and requires walking down a steep slope of about 200 meters from the main road. This could be difficult for elderly guests or families with young children. Food & Staff Experience: Upon arrival, we were quite hungry and placed an order for food. Just to note — a single tawa roti costs ₹25, excluding service charges and GST. The staff informed us that all food is prepared fresh and would take about an hour. However, the order arrived after nearly 90 minutes and, unfortunately, was underwhelming. The kebabs were oily, the chilli chicken was extremely salty, and none of the food was served hot. Since it was cold and raining, and we were already tired, we had no choice but to eat what was served rather than wait another hour and a half. We had also requested the fireplace in the TV room to be used at night due to the cold, but the staff declined. The weather was unexpectedly chilly, and we hadn’t packed appropriately. The overall attitude of the staff lacked professionalism, which was especially disappointing given there were no alternative food options nearby — guests are entirely dependent on the property’s in-house kitchen. We had initially considered extending our stay by another day, but due to the subpar service, unsatisfactory food, and inflated pricing, we decided to check out as planned. Breakfast Incident: The following morning, we ordered two plates of bread toast. The first plate arrived as described in the menu — five slices with jam and butter. However, the second plate was only served after we reminded the staff, and it consisted of just two slices (one of them being an end piece, Lol) with no jam or butter. Billing & Checkout: At checkout, the bill was presented, including service charges and GST, which I paid in full. I requested a GST invoice at the time, but even after 48 hours and multiple follow-ups, it has not been provided. Now, the staff is not responding to my calls — although they are still sending messages requesting a review. So here it is.
