Crux: Not for familiesDisadvantages1. Dirty surroundings. 2. Hardly any amenities provided except a weak WiFi.3. No lift. Poorly built staircase. Not for elders. 4. No Geyser. Not recommended in winters.5. No regular service like daily cleaning.6. Washrooms look dirty. But, just manageableAdvantages1. Location: 100 metres from Temple corridor2. Easy to visit main temple in early mornings3. You can ask for luke warm water (not hot enough) once in a day. They'll provide in a bucket.Overall, this hotel is only for solo travellers or couple of friends who can manage with barest minimum, without expecting anything else. All you'll have is a bed to sleep & a washroom to use. Cost: With respect to amenities provided, it's expensive. But with respect to location advantage, it's just right.As a solo traveller, I can survive with bare minimum. So, I might choose to stay here again. But if I'm coming with my family, I would never never come here.

Its a decent enough guest house for 1-2 days stay. Staircase is an absolute nightmare. Was impressed by the cleanliness inside the property especially when outside premises its very untidy and feels like slum. Although all of this is well compensated by being in close proximity to most of the places. Kashi corridoor gate is just few steps away even the ganga ghat is walkable diatance. Some street food can be enojyed too at blue lassi shop, sti ram bhandar all of which are 5-10 min walking distance from guest house.

1. smooth check.in. 2. staff extremely cooperative and full of local information. 3. located at manikarnika ghat. beautiful darshan of ghat . 4. 10 min walk to Kashi Vishwanath Temple (gate 4, gyanwapi gate) 5. neat and.clean room. 6. shared bathroom was a surprise but was really.clean . over all a great experience of Kashi and thanks.to guest house people for.making it wonderful with cleanliness. note: could be challenge for someone with issues in walking and climbing stare cases.

It was an amazing experience with Shanti Guest House . Sacred Manikarnika ghat and Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is very near from this guest House. Ganges view from the rooftop makes us delight. We took a double bed room but we were 3. Manager gave us an extra bed roll(matress) to sleep without any cost. Water purifier available for drinking water. Ropes are fitted on the roof for wet clothes. Bathroom was clean. I asked manager for late check out and he accepted my request.
