A Convenient and Value-Packed Stay Near the US Consulate My recent stay at Hotel Shila International Kolkata, particularly in a Standard Room, was an absolute win, especially given my primary purpose: a US Visa interview at the nearby US Consulate. The hotel's location is truly a major asset, strategically positioned in a bustling hub near Park Street and MG Road, and with Victoria Memorial also easily accessible. However, for anyone with business at the US Consulate, you couldn't ask for a more convenient base – it’s practically next door! In terms of value, this hotel offers the "cheap and best" experience. The Standard Room, perfectly sized for one or two people, provided everything I needed. The bathroom and bed were both commendably clean, and crucially, the air conditioning and television were in perfect working order, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing environment after a long day. Beyond the comfortable room, the culinary options both inside and outside the hotel were excellent. While the hotel's own food and service were good, the proximity to local favorites like Tewari Sweets and Haldiram added a fantastic dimension to my stay, offering authentic flavors of Kolkata just steps away. All in all, Hotel Shila International Kolkata delivered a "full paisa wasool" (great value for money) experience. For its unbeatable location, particularly for US Visa applicants, and its clean, functional rooms at an excellent price point, I would highly recommend it.

Rooms were good, staffs were kind and helpful, front look of hotel looks bit old but inside its completely fine..main advantage is the place near to everything howrah takes only 45mins to go... food was good, in complementary breakfast I requested for sandwich and it's so filling and they also provides tea so enjoyed food ordered from hotel kitchen for dinner it was tasty and worth it with the price..booked super deluxe room and will suggest go for deluxe or super Deluxe

i stayed at this hotel for 2 days. the staff were kind and very hospitable. they also gave me a nice diary as a new year's gift. great stay! the hotel's warm atmosphere made me feel right at home. i'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit!

Hotel and rooms are clean.staffs are supporting and very polite. About 200 Meters away there is eskon temple where one may relax and get a suitable place for meditation.Just opposite at a few steps of walk one may enjoy morning or evening walk in park.

It's a value for money hotel to stay at..The hotel looks in need of maintenance from outside..But inside it's a good ambience..Food is good too..And overall the location is the most important feature of this hotel..I had a good experience here..👍👍

Helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. i hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

It's a pleasant stay. the room was clean and the bedsheets, towels, and comforter provided by them were neat and clean. They also provided the accessories and toiletries. The food quality was delicious .
