To be very precise, the hotel solves your purpose of stay as well as provides an excellent view to the Ganga Aarti happening in the dhashashwamedh ghat. Located right over the dashashwamedh ghat, has pretty decent rooms. The major setbacks are, 1. the rooms are very small with almost no space to store luggage. 2. most of the rooms either do not have a window or the window opening to some kind of a duct. 3.The staircase is very steep and it is definitely not advisable for the aged to go for this accomodation. 4. There were regular power cuts and there was no power for the entire night we stayed there but we still tried to manage because the weather was good. 5. I suggest to eat from the nearby areas as the the menu offers very less number of items and the items seemed to be a bit overpriced. 6. vehicles are not allowed in the street where the hotel is located since it is a highly congested Street. So you might have to get down at girijaghar and walk till the hotel which is around 300 to 400 metres from there. this cannot really be helped by the hotel people because of its prominent location. Positives: 1. located right above the dashashwamedh ghat making it easy to view Ganga Aarti, you can almost reach all the ghats, temples and major streets by walking. 2. the street and the ghats nearby looks very safe even in the midnight and you can take a walk around freely. 3. the manager of the hotel staff are friendly in of to assist you and help you in Planning your itinerary there. 4. the rooftop area is excellent. I would suggest spending a lot of time in the rooftop area than in your room. overall a good stay and pleasant experience. if the bed and linen could be cleaned regularly that would add up to a beautiful experience.

the best part of the hotel is it is opposite to main ghat. the owner of the hotel was very friendly & gave good suggestions about travelling in kashi. room was cleaned & shared bathroom was also cleaned. there is lot of scope in improving services like there is no one at the inquiry counter at any time of the day. we had lots of luggage no one came for carrying the luggage till the room as it was on the top floor. i would not suggest food here as it was not value for money.

Location wise excellent. just above the Dasaswamedh Ghat. have to climb stairs which is almost at 45 degrees angle ad narrow, alone with luggage - no helping hand. Though I booked Ganga facing room - I was given Another building facing room. Not apt for Family that too with elder members. There are other hotels around. Price is decent but nit cheap. The rooms and washroom was clearly maintained though.

Wonderful place to stay at, if you want to explore Benaras (not good if u are looking for luxury). positive points: Staff behaviour is good, located at the centre of the pilgrim, all the pilgrims are at walking distance, have photogenic spots. negative points: the stairs are not suited for elderly people, since a old property the stairs are quite high, Restaurant remains closed for most of the time.
