Positives : 1. In a coffee garden. Forest ambience. 2. Hirekolale lake very close by. We went there twice. Simply superb. 3. Very good home made food. You have a choice of fish/chicken/mutton. We chose mutton. It was very good. We liked it so much we had it for all 4 meals that we had there. The food is cooked at the caretaker's home nearby, and is fresh, fragrant and flavourful. It was more than enough and i overate on all 4 occasions because the food was so good. The breakfast was also hearty. 4. That brings us to the caretaker, Nagesh. This person is the epitome of professionalism. We wanted hot milk in the morning and evening, he got it promptly. There was a power cut in the morning because of which the heater was out of the equation, so he got us 3 buckets of piping hot water, both mornings that we were there. We wanted horlicks, he dashed off to the market and got it. He is a big strength of this place. 5. Rooms and bathroom are very clean. Cons : 1. Only one, but a major one. The second night, a group of around 15 men checked in. These guys were of the highest imbecilic order. They must have gotten drunk and at around 3 am started playing loud music in the room next door. A call to Nagesh and he got them to turn that down. Then a few of them sat outside, chatting and laughing loudly. I thought that maybe they dont realise that they were disturbing our sleep. I went out and told them very politely that the walls of our room were not sound proof and that we were not able to sleep because of their loud conversations. They seemed to understand. After some time it started again. Again i went and spoke to them, very very politely, mind you, because i didnt want to lose my cool either, because then i would find it difficult to sleep. It still didnt stop. I went out agan, for the third time!!! Still they kept making noise till the morning. We managed to get some sleep because we had got ear plugs for the cold, and that blocked out most of the noise. It was a very unpleasant experience. My request to Anil who owns this place is, you have 2 choices : One, put in place a strict policy that says if there is another customer occupying a cottage, then no noise must be made after 11 o clock. And this must be ensured by Nagesh if there is a complaint. Two, don't let out your place to familes if gangs of single men are going to descend on the place at the same time, making noise and creating nuisance. So shameless was this group of men that even three requests were not enough for them.

One of the pleasant home stays we have ever experienced.The room are right in middle of coffee plantation and you feel very much close to nature. FOOD is a must mention, they take good care in that and even asked suggestions for the menu.Home cooked food, Mangalore style. Ample space for car parking and we can even roam around in the woods (coffee plantation). Pretty much everything above our expectation and only negative part of our sty is Electricity. This area seems to have power cuts for longer periods but this is not a big problem as there is UPS backup and even a generator.Overall, its a wonderful dream stay at the place, would definitely prefer this place anytime.

very disappointed one of the worst experience had with this resort . very bad rooms with bad smell and I booked for couple rooms already they have given nearby room to 7 boys they were drinking smoking and few of them not wearing shirts felt very uncomfortable even owner was very rude when I asked him to give to another stay. finally cancelled my booking by paying one day booking charges .I don't recommend anyone worst place doesn't deserve even one star too. please go through pics what I have shared stay

Pros- Very nice location amidst coffee plantations. Decent food Spacious rooms, good enough for a small family. Enough parking space (open) Enough space to sit outside and for kids to play around. Cons- 1. More attention can be paid towards cleanliness - plates, buckets, utensils, etc. 2. Only 1 caretaker - either he is actually overworked or he doesn't care much!! Either way, the owner must look into this Overall, a nice stay, will go there again.
