My journey in retail began in 2008 with Vishal Mega Mart, followed by SONY India Pvt. Ltd, and later Reliance Retail Ltd, where I took early retirement as Senior Manager Audit in 2023. Through years of work travel, I spent most of my nights in hotels. But I always found them cramped, impersonal and suffocating. I started looking for homestays that felt like home warm, comfortable, and authentic. The good ones were hard to find. That’s when I dreamt of building my own. Sri Kailash Retreat is that dream turned real. I reconstructed my ancestral Assam type house in Guwahati into a space where fellow travelers can truly relax. My focus is simple to give you a home like environment with genuine comfort. Here, I tailor food to your needs, always with the taste of authentic Assamese cuisine. You’ll also get a glimpse of Assamese culture and heritage during your stay. For leisure, we have an almirah filled with books across many interests, board games to keep children engaged, and musical instruments like drums, guitar, tabla, and flute for you to enjoy. And yes, all the paintings you see around the property are original works of fine art, created by me. At Sri Kailash Retreat, I don’t host guests. I welcome family.
