The Chalets Naldehra

A good vacation for me ensues a few parameters; Location, Climate, Accommodation, Service quality. The Chalets offers you probably the best of all the above parameters. Located in the serene calm of the Himalayas it offers you cool weather in the summers, floating low clouds in the monsoon and very cold winters. If you start early from Delhi you could beat the traffic to reach here by road in 7hrs tops. The drive becomes extremely romantic and scenic from Simla onwards to Naldehra. If you're visiting during the monsoons, drive carefully but you're guaranteed to see some breathtaking panoramic views on your way. Once you reach this unassuming pine log structure, you would be surprised at its expansive setup which remains hidden at first sight. What you see would be straight out of a post card in shades of wood and green nestled in the mighty Deodar forests of the Himalayas. The hotel staff is extremely competent and responsive. Room service is excellent. The property hosts an in-house restaurant which serves you Indian, continental and Chinese cuisines. The preparations are primarily North Indian,but have the choicest selections in ingredients. If you visit during the monsoons, you'll have clouds walking in your windows; the winters become enjoyable with the traditional fire place in the cottages. The summers are anyway a boon to be away from the plains amidst the pristine Himachal range. The accommodation is in cottages or rooms depending on your budget or requirements. I would recommend the cottages as they offer a unique experience with a private outdoor setup where one could relax with family. Further, there are two beautiful pools if you want to just sit and enjoy a drink or factor in the morning cardio during vacation. A few laps will do the trick. The pool hosts an excellent view of the valley. A recent addition is the revolving restaurant called 360 degrees which gives a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. Last but not the least, the property hosts a bar adjacent to the restaurant in an exquisite setup offering a beautiful view of the mountains around. All in all it caters to the fuddy duddy tourist like me who doesn't want to travel a lot and would spend 5 straight days in this place. And also for the extensive traveler who must spend atleast 2 nights here to savour the flavor and hospitality of The Chalets. I have lost count as to how many times ice been here since the last 5-6 years. I hope you all discover this place for yourselves.

The Chalets in Naldhera is a place where everyone should visit once while travelling to Shimla. It's just 25kms away from Shimla's Landmark hotel ,takes about only 1.5 hours to reach this resort. This resort is fantastic in terms of rejuvenating yourself. It has got spa, indoor heated pool maintained at 20 degrees , an activity room where pool table , table tennis and carom board are placed. It has also got a 360 degree revolving restaurant also. Just imagine yourself looking at the mountains on one side and as the restaurant rotates , you see full dense forest on the other side! The view and the location of this resort is mesmerising! I would recommend this place for the couples. One thing to be kept in mind while traveling with kids is that there is no where to go except this resort. So for children there is only activity room to enjoy. It's a great place to visit for a group of friends too. It is because they offer you a bungalow which has got its own living room and a common private garden attached to all the rooms.If friends are in there, i bet they would not like to move out of there.Now coming on the staff members, they ar extremely cordial and would want to give you the best of their services. You will never hear a NO from them. Overall my and my friends experience was an amazing one. Looking forward to visit it back soon ✌🏻
