Tiger Tracks Resort

I stayed in Tiger Tracks Resort with my family for 2 nights & 3 days and had booked their Deluxe-AC rooms. We had a decent stay in the hotel as the staff is extremely good and they try their best to take good care of you but actually speaking considering the amenities available, you really cannot call it a resort and moreover the charges of the food as well as the activities like jungle safari (where they merely take you through the outskirt of the jungle in a covered jeep with no site of any animals), river walk & bonfire are extremely high. There are no outdoor or indoor sports like table tennis, carrom, cricket, football, etc. (there's only one basketball court).There was wi-fi connectivity on the first day and for the rest of the two days we had to struggle as the wi-fi was not working and the mobile connectivity was extremely poor (surprisingly the wi-fi started working when I was making the payment through UPI for settling the bills).The hotel compromises on things which really doesn't go well with you as a customer e.g. we were told that for each day for two rooms they can give only one drinking water bottle as complimentary and had to pay for the other one. We had booked the hotel with breakfast & one meal. So, the dinner was one of the meals which was included in the tariff and when we requested for some fish along with chow min and chilly chicken in dinner, we were charged extra for the same. Therefore, overall we had an okay stay in the hotel and would recommend to travelers who are not looking for a wow experience but just want to spend some good time in a decent hotel.

Pros: 1. View from the property and quite surrounding. Might find some deers in the morning if you're lucky 2. Staff are friendly. Cons:1. The property is poorly maintained. The beds are too soft, rooms have a bad smell, complete lawn area apparently doesn't have any lights - post 6PM just sit inside your room2. Camp fire - they ask for additional money to put up a camp fire - Rs.1000 3. The picture of the river which is posted by the management as part of the hotel pictures is completely misleading and the river is far from the property.4. Food is limited and of poor quality - the quantity is very poor. For dinner- They literally gave us a few chapatis with 1 veg and non veg curry . The Jeera rice and white rice got over (sic). Morning BF- idlis, dosa and a omelette. Not worth taking the money you pay for. Allacarte menu is very limited and quality again is bad.5. No fun activities - no indoor or outdoor games. I Definitely don't recommend this place to anyone.

I went on a solo trip to mudhumalai, resort was close to Mudhumalai Forest. Nearly 700 metres away, I was astounded to see the area resort with views of Ooty Hill, other agriculture land, and woodland. There was a pleasant breeze and birds, which made it feel rather tranquil—almost like a farm house. Although there is a network issue, you can still use the wifi. The staff were polite. Food was of a high standard, and rooms were roomy. Additionally, they offered a paid nature walk in the forest that is worth taking, I learned more about the tribes of people that live in this jungle and their site of worship from Staff Shiva. There is a myth that people who are nearby to worship place even if animals detect you won't harm you. I spotted an eagle , deer and a woodland squirrel while out walking. Elephant and bear footprints were found there. While moving forward, I noticed the Pykara waterfall's opposite end.

Delux AC Room: Neat and Clean with great view of hills. Food: Limited menu, taste was good but super expensive. Ex: 1 Gobi Manchurian costs 300 Rs. Trekking: Took us to a nearby stream and charged 500 per head. They did discuss the rates upfront, so no complaints but 2000rs for 4 adults. it was nice but not worth this cost. Staff: All are super friendly and helpful. Other points: There is not much activities to do here but excellent place to relax. Also, if you need anything you better carry all of it else you only need to go to nearby town and get it. Good place to relax with family and kids.
