White Petals Coorg by Coffee Castle Coorg

This was our first trip to Coorg during the 2017 Dussehra holidays till Gandhi Jayanti and I booked on searching in Goibibo. Though Initially I felt the price was a bit expensive but when we landed and say a Cottage room given to us it felt good. Not a huge resort a small one with limited number of rooms. Amenities not many more of a middle path between Resort and a home stay. But my family like the way it has been maintained. The Staff was very courteous especially Vinod the caretaker was too good. The Other staff like Rekha and Boppana were good. Food prepared by the lady was good and home kind of. Also got to meet the owner Prithvi who had driven down during the Dussehra holidays. Nice lawn and locales, the family enjoyed the trip, the food etc. The small coffee estate at the back and the Cauvery river flowing behind was nice. We stayed there for 3 days hired a driver (arranged by Vinod) and covered almost all the places in Coorg. Really an enjoyable and memorable trip. There was also a function on the Sunday, though we were out but saw the Resort nicely decorated for a local family's kid's naming ceremony. Overall a nice experience in Coffee Castle. One more point try the Virajpet route, its better than the Madikeri one and nearer to the Resort.

I have a mixed feeling about this hotel. Hotel location is little far from main road and that's basically a plus point because you enjoy nature to fullest. Hotel room size is just okay okay(standard room). Quality of furniture is good. But if you are looking for accesories like desk table, dining space, hair dryer, sit out chairs, kits (dental, hair, shoe etc) then it's not available. I paid almost.. per night and was expecting all these things. There's ample space for kids to play. Coffee plantation in backyard is just awesome. You can also enjoy cycling. There's a small pond in estate premises and under construction swimming pool. Food options are limited but quality is good (tastes like homemade) Staff is courtesious. Helped me to prepare itinerary for the day, local guide and asked how can they help me. They also provided a extra bed for my kid. Overall good.

The hotel is good with beautiful scenic places and decent amenities. Very pleasant atmosphere early morning and evening. The staff was nice and supportive. Food is good - Try chicken varieties. The walk area behind the rooms is very good with dense coffee plants and Cauvery river flowing side by. There is also a separate pond inside the resort. The swimming pool was not ready when we stayed. Only drawback we felt is that the hotel is very far from Madikeri (20km). Hence plan accordingly, If you want to visit any nearby places in Coorg. Felt little lonely as it is too far from the village. I wish they provided bedsheet cover which they didn't give. Other than these you can enjoy the stay.

Coffee castle is a situated away from the hustle of the city so no disturbance at all. Lots of greenery around. They have bicycles, cricket kit badminton so kids can enjoy a lot. You have the option to dine inside the room or in the lawn , we had food in the lawn and it was an amazing experience. The resort manager was very helpful and took good care of our needs.
