Dragonair Baggage Information

* Checked Baggage: There is no restriction on number of pieces per passenger on Dragonair aircrafts, but passengers have to follow the standard weight of the baggage which varies depending on category of seats. First Class passengers are allowed to take baggage which shouldn’t weigh more than 40 kg. Business Class and Economy Class passengers can take 30 kg and 20 kg baggages respectively. All passengers should note that the size of the baggage shouldn’t exceed 203 cm or 80 inch.

* Hand Baggage: Passengers can carry one piece of hand luggage with the standard weight 5 kg and size 115 cm (56x36x23cm).

Web check-in and verification

A passenger can check-in online for Cathay Dragon flights by simply visiting https://www.cathaypacific.com/olci/#/en_US/login and fill in the first and last names and type in the booking reference number available on the ticket or the 10-digit E-ticket number. The online check-in cannot be used b passengers who require medical support or stretchers. Online check-in in Cathay Pacific is also not available for passengers who travel in groups or have registered as a group. However, passengers travelling with infants or travelling with others with the same booking reference can opt for online check-in. Passengers can check-in online between 48 hours to 90 minutes prior to flight departure.


Baggage Allowance


For passengers travelling in the economy class cabins, two baggage pieces with a sum weight of 30 kg are allowed as check in baggage and one piece of cabin baggage of 7 kg not exceeding 23 cm in height, 36 cm in width, and 56 cm in length is allowed.
Passengers travelling in business class seats can carry two baggage pieces with a sum of 40 kg as free checked baggage and 10 kg of cabin baggage. The cabin baggage should not exceed 23 cm in height, 36 cm in width and 56 cm in length. The checked baggage allowance for first class seats are 3 baggage pieces with a sum weight of 50 kg and cabin baggage not weighing more than 15 kg and not exceeding 23 cm in height, 36 cm in width and 56 cm in length. In all the class cabins, passengers can also bring small handbags, laptop bags, briefcases and camera bags.
