Although Air Moldova started operating from 19 September 1944, it was founded by a presidential decree on 12th January, 1993 with its base at Chisinau airport.Initially it had two LI-2 aircrafts, which operated flights to Moscow, Ukrainian cities and resorts on the Black Sea and Caucasus.At present, it has three kinds of aircrafts, namely Embraer 120, Embraer 190 and A320.
