About Blue Islands

Originally known as Le Cocq’s Airlink, it started out as a small airline in 1999. From Feb 2006, it was known by its current name, Blue Islands Airlines. It has headquarters at Saint Peter Port, Guernsey. The airline is based in the Channel Islands from where it runs scheduled services to the UK and Europe. The airlines have a transparent pricing policy so there are no hidden costs. Customers may avail of a choice of complementary in flight refreshments and also use the executive lounges at airports. The premium Blue Shuttle service connects Guernsey and Jersey and provides up to 10 flights in a day thus making travel between the Channel Islands easy and comfortable. The airlines slogan says “Fly Better Fly Blue.”It provides very reasonable fares for group travel. Its fleet has several aircrafts such as Bae Jetstream 32EP, ATR 42-320 and ATR 42-500. Blue Islands Baggage Information

Blue Islands Airlines baggage policy for checked baggage is 20 kg or 44 lbs across all flights. The size allowed is 81cm x 40.5cm x 35.5cm which includes handles, pockets, wheels, etc. Hand baggage should be within 6 kg and size allowed is 40cm x 30cm x 20cm. There are no charges for extra baggage but it depends on the space available in the aircraft. The maximum permitted weight for one suitcase or bag is 32 kg. Skiing equipment is allowed in select locations like Geneva, Zurich and Chambery but weight must be within 20 kg baggage allowance. Also prior booking needs to be done. Guard dogs are allowed free of charge. Some domestic pets who are accompanying the passengers are allowed but only between Jersey and Guernsey. Advance booking has to be done for pets. Dangerous and prohibited articles are not allowed on board.
