Checked Baggage:

The maximum dimension of the any checked baggage can be 158 cms (width + height + depth).

Economy class can carry one free baggage with a maximum weight of 23 Kgs, whereas Premium Economy Class, Business class and First class can carry two free baggages. The maximum weight for these is 23, 32 and 32 Kgs respectively.

Hand Luggage:

Economy class and premium economy class passengers can carry one piece of baggage with maximum weight of 8 Kgs.

Business class and first class passengers can carry two free baggage with a maximum weight of 8 Kgs.

The maximum size for hand luggage is 55 x 40 x 23 cms and for foldable garment bags is 57x 54 x15 cms.

Lufthansa History

The original Lufthansa Airlines was founded in January 1926 with the name Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft. However, at the end of World War II, the airline was completely grounded. Lufthansa Airlines resumed its services in 1955 within Germany using Convair 350. The current Lufthansa was recreated in January 1953 with the name Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft and commenced operations in April 1955. Ever since, Lufthansa has consistently multiplied its fleet and range of services.
