About Olympic Airways


The headquarter of the airline is at Eleftherios Venizelos. It also has its secondary base at "Diagoras" Airport in Rhodes, Olympic Air. There are around 30 flights per day which are carried from the secondary base of the airline to 18 destinations.

Olympic Airways Baggage Information


Checked Baggage:

Baggage policy for aircraft DH8 -100 and DH8 -400:

One piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 23 Kgs and dimension of not more than 158 cms is allowed for all passengers boarding standard Economy class.

Gold members under Economy class.are permitted two bags of the same size and weight as standard Economy Class.

Infants and children are allowed one bag of not more than 23 Kg (s) with a maximum size of 158 cms.

Luggage policy for aircraft A 320/321:

All passengers travelling through either of these aircrafts are only allowed baggage on short international flights.

Travellers going for a short international flight are permitted certain limits depending upon class. There is no baggage in GoLight class, one bag of 23 Kgs under Flex class and/or up to two bags of no more than 32 Kgs in Business class. Gold members are allowed an extra bag with the same weight and dimension limits.

The maximum allowable baggage for boarding personnels to or from United Arab Emirates and carried by AEGEAN flights differ from general passengers. This also applies to infants and children boarding towards these destinations.

Hand Baggage:

Only Economy class boarding personnels are permitted hand baggage.

The maximum allowable weight is 8 Kgs for any handbag with a dimension limit of 55 x 40 x 23 cms. This applies to both children as well as adults.

The weight limit for any hand luggage is 6 Kgs for infants, with a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 23 cms.

Any traveller can carry only piece of hand baggage on the aircraft.

NOTE: It is advised that passengers should go through the list of prohibited items mentioned on the airlines website before packing their bags.

Any excess bag that is carried on a flight should be notified to the airlines before boarding an would be charged separately.

Olympic Airlines Check-in Facilities

Currently, passengers can avail the web check in facility for all flights by the airlines. After following the simple procedure to get the boarding pass, travellers should reach the airport no later than 40 minutes before departure.

Additionally, check in can also be done by using the mobile check in service of Olympic Airlines. This will also enable them to clear the check in faster at the airport terminals just like the web process.

If you are planning to check in at the airport itself, it should be duly noted that the last time to do so is 30 minutes prior to flight takeoff. The gates for boarding and clearing the procedure open approximately 2 hours before the scheduled flight time.

Self Check in Kiosk are also present at the airport terminals and can be used by entering your relevant travelling details to print the boarding pass.
