Swiss History

Swiss International Airlines was formed after the bankruptcy of Swissair in the year 2002, which was the former flag carrier of Switzerland. Swiss International Airlines was formed from the remains of Crossair, the regional counterpart to transatlantic Swissair. After turmoil of ups and downs, Swiss recovered its losses in 2006 and on July 1st, 2007, Lufthansa Group's took over Swiss.
