Avadale Kodaikanal (Stag Groups Not Allowed)

the stay at avadale was it very pleasant, although it is a beautiful property. the maintenance is ill. the wide variety of plantations are not being maintained properly, the play area is not being attended to or cleaned at all, nor are lights in play area or restaurant working properly. dining hall was a major disaster as there were plenty of flies in it at every meal. we spent 5 days and 4 nights but dining staff was not very supportive. at breakfast they state that eggs are available to order, but when we asked for omelletes all staff except one person denied. everyone wants to offer only boiled eggs to save their work. there is always shortage of plates, cutlery etc. you have to ask to clean the tables at every meal. on a 4 seater table they keep two water glasses and then you gotta grab more glasses from other tables if you can see them. salt and pepper shaker is a luxury if u can get hold off. dining staff will come to your room to tell that meals are ready and will become desperate knocking if you don't reach. at breakfast they start telling that the kitchen is closed at 9 am onwards though the breakfast time is itself till 9.30am. room cleaning is to be asked for, and when you return ask for clean towels and refill of coffee and tea bags etc. then again ask for tea stirrers. and all this on mobile only as the property does not have intercom. if you are traveling to relax there maybe other better places in kodai.

We stayed for two nights at Avadale, Kodaikanal with my family of four, and our stay was extremely pleasant. The food and room quality were exceptional - 5/5. The view of the mountains was good one . The managers Gowtham, Murali and Rinoy, provided top-class service. The food buffet was excellent . Special mention to Smart and Deepak, who were very helpful during our three-day stay. It was wonderful stay at avadale Kodaikanal.even though our stay was short.They made sure to give the best of it and their manager was very nice and made sure our food was set and over all good place to stay Thank you for your hospitality

My stay was for 2 days and the experience was great. Location is surrounded by mountains and had great view from the room I stayed. Staffs were friendly and ready to help any time. Overall a must visit place.
