Banari Regency by Summit, Namchi

This was possibly the best hotel of our darjeeling-sikkim 10 day trip. The approach road from central namchi to hotel via the stadium is fantastic. Another 3Km drive takes to helipad and Saibaba mandir. Convenient for bisiting Chardham and Rose garden too. There is a driver accomodation right across ( not part of the hotel). Attentive friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The 360 view from the terrace during sunrise of kanchenjunga ( visible from room too) and a sea of clouds and the chardham shiv statue was incredible indeed. Now to the suite room itself which was possible the size of 3 regular rooms. Very comfortable kingsize bed, fluffy pillows, clean bathroom, tea coffee kettle, TV and study desk and the adjoining huge living area with yet another attached bathroom, study desk, tea coffee kettle and a huge array of sofas ( but no TV). This was where the extra bed ( rollaway cot) was arranged for the child. All in all, a lovely stay indeed.

1. rooms:- 5/5 Big rooms with view 2. Housekeeping :-5/5 Neat & Clean rooms 3. Travel desk support 0/5. Non existent and not helpful. 4. Restaurant:- 3/5 Understaffed. With few guests staying they r not able to provide service but Quality of food good. 5. Front Desk :-4/5 Smooth check in & Check out. overall a good place to stay Understaffed Hotel.management should look into it . All the staff are overworked so the joy of hospitality service is missing but they still try to help customers as much as possible. with 12 hrs work a day and just 1 day leave per week is total violation of labour laws.

Please avoid booking the Premium View room. The so-called "premium view" is just the hotel parking and a few houses—not worth the extra cost. If you try to cancel through MMT or Goibibo later, they usually won’t allow it. You’ll be forced to downgrade the room just for a better view, but there will be no refund or compensation. It’s better to go for the Deluxe Room instead—it at least offers a proper valley view.
