Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjewadi

We had booked a king size bed in Courtyard by Marriott to celebrate our anniversary but I have to say the whole experience turned out to be highly disappointing. Firstly, we wanted to stay in a room which has a nice view. But when we reached there they told us that 3-4th floors are book for BCCI guests and hence we can only give you room in 1st floor(not even on the second floor for unknown reasons). We requested them a little bit but since they said they have nothing available not even on the second floor, we had to go with the what we got. Also, it took them an hour to setup the room and since the check in time was already late(check in time was 3 PM), it almost was evening that we got our room. Now even though the room was king size bed, it didn’t have a bathtub which we really needed and when we asked for it they said that its only available in the suits. We asked if we can pay and get it they said that it wasn’t available. Now came the dinner which was strictly average in taste but since we had already paid for breakfast, lunch and dinner we had to have the dinner at the hotel but to my utter surprise, I saw hair in the panner makhani. I was disgusted and already thinking about the next 2 days I had to stay there. Then came the next day’s breakfast and again I found strand of hair in sausages as well as in the noodles. It was really disgusting. My main problem is even though courtyard falls below in the Marriott hierarchy, the charges are still on par with other premium hotels and the service is strictly average. Also nowadays all the big hotels have bath tub but this one doesn’t. My advice is if you are looking for a premium experience, go for Conrad or may be JW but not to Courtyard. You will be highly disappointed.

Late checkin at 4pm after early checkin was confirmed for 1.30pm. After booking a Suite for, a hotel of the stature of the Marriott meeds you to keep a deposit with them for any consumption during the stay. set for themselves and imagine how all premium guests stating at the Marriott would be feeling ! The hotel hence considers them unfit for paying the bills at the time of checkout and is so sure of its customers that they would fleece them and abscond without paying bills !!

It was a good experience overall. Staff was very polite and supportive. Only 1 thing wherein a little bit disappointed that Dinner menu was not as good as breakfast. They have decorated our room as a gesture without any additional charges. Pastries and juices were offered to my daughter at the time of welcome, which I actually liked the most.

Although i had booked for 3 guests the hotel charged us extra for the 3 rd person on arrival. The room was good but very expensive for the hotel standards. The room service was a little slow. Over all it was a good stay, the persons at the reception were welcoming but the front desk manager was a little rude. Did not fulfil all our requests .
