In gps it's showing that this hotel is 200 to 300 m away from gurdwara which is true but that is atta mandi gate, which is quite far from saragarhi car parking. Bettry rickshaws charge you 200rs. to 250rs. from parking to hotel and it is not possible for you to go by walking with luggage. Heritage Street is also far from this hotel, every time you come to the parking area or Heritage Street area you have to spend rs. 200. if we think about that we can go to the gurdwara and from there we can walk to heritage street or jalianwala bagh, we didn't have sleepers or shoes as we had to submit to the gate from where we had entered. That was quite frustrating.

hotel gr residency is very near to golden temple. rooms, bed, bathroom were very clean. property seems to be newly constructed. food order and other services were addressed quickly and with humility. the owner was friendly and welcoming, made sure the guests had a comfortable stay. transport in and around the city was promptly arranged on request. if you are new to amritsar just check with the owner for transport arrangement, as cabs may not reach the exact hotel location. would highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: 1. Walking distance from Golden Temple. 2. Neat n tidy 3. Courteous n well behaved owner 4. Value for money Cons: 1. Location is in narrow Aata Mandi so most of the auto n cab drivers rejects to go inside and will drop to somewhere outside, from there you need to take a rikshaw. 2. The hotel is newly build so kitchen n other services/staff is not well professionally trained. 3. While we were inside the room, mobile network connectivity issue was felt.

Awesome experience there. Cannot call it a Hotel, it's more like your Own house. Newly built, clean rooms and had very beautiful experience there. Excellent staff and very nice gesture displayed. Nearby to Golden Temple, though it is at backside but it is very nearby to the Gate. It's like you can just walk and visit Harminder Saheb by just walking for 2mins.

Extremely comfortable stay at the hotel . The room and bathroom were very clean,like new . Location was another plus point which was just a minute or two away. The owner ,Navdeep was very kind and helpful and his hospitality was overwhelming . As a female traveller , i would definitely recommend this place for a safe stay in Amritsar.

Owner of the Residency was very nice, even he came to take us once we stuck in the way confused with the way. The staff was friendly and the quality was no less than an expensive hotels of the city. The beds and rooms were clean, the toilets were modern and clean. the location of the residency is very close to the Harmandir Sahib.

The hotel is near the back side of the Golden temple, only three minute walk will take you to the temple gate. The property is located in a congested area but all the basic facilities are up to the mark. The only draw back side is there is no restaurant attached. The owner is humble and helpful and we stayed here peacefully.

Navdeep (The owner) is very kind and supportive to serve the guests, hotel is located at hardly few meters distance from the Golden Temple (5 minutes walking only). So if you are looking for a budget room with the Harmandir Sahib Ji Golden Temple in nearby vicinity, This place must be given a chance.

The folks of the hotel are extremely generous and nice. Quite Helpful. Hotel is very near to Golden Temple and serves the purpose of comfortable stay. Advice : Include chair/chairs in the room too for additional benefit. Highly Recommended, Go for it without any doubt

The hotel host was very friendly and provided necessary information for sightseeing. The location is just two minutes walk to Golden Temple. Taxis cannot reach the hotel doorsteps as the street is narrow.
