Grand Continent Morjim

"Rooms are good and spacious, have sofas and table inside the room."Me and my wife were in Goa for 5 days..We come to Goa almost twice a year..Mostly we have stayed within the vicinity of Candolim to Arpora..but we wanted to experience the Morjim - Mandrem part and decided to extend our stay for a day.Grand Continent had great reviews and we stayed at a sea view room but the sea is very far off and it was barely visible nonetheless the rooms are very big and spacious neat clean 🫧Special mention of the washroom which too was big and clean 🫧Everything was in order right from checking in to the checkout...Property was at a great location.Staff was very courteous and responsive.Food : Breakfast was good with a good spread.But...We rushed off from a sundowner place named Azule since they do not serve much of Indian cuisine and as Grand Continent takes last order at 10.30 in the night..we reached at 10.15pm we wanted to the food hot in the restaurant but to our astonishment he insisted that the food be sent to the room..We ordered a basic Paneer kadai..3 butter chapati's and a veg raita since boondi raita wasn't available...Food came after 15 mins without any cutlery for either eating or serving, the waiter brought it after 15mins and by this time chapati's were all very cold...He said the kitchen is closed and cannot be replaced but on insisting he took them back to be replaced but the same were microwaved and given..they were like rubber...even the panner was hard..We had to go hungry that night...They serve beers but do not know that lemons r required with a coronaAfternoon and night both times same was served warm without 🍋...We brought this to the notice of the GM. A courteous man...but do not know what action or corrective action he would take...One can bear a lapse of anything but food ...

The rooms are quite big around 500 square feet rooms which is the unique feature of this hotel You don't get such big rooms unless you go to a 5 star hotel with heavy room Tariffs. The rooms was clean , we had a partial sea facing room . The washroom was clean. The Toiletries were of biotique shampoo , conditioner, shower gel everything was like a 5 star resort at the cost of 3 star resort We had a free breakfast and Free evening High tea . The staff was very cooperative and humble especially Gabriel. and even the waiters at their restaurant The restaurant was cool The pool was clean The only drawback was the breakfast was not tasty. Other draw back is the road to the hotel is really very small and a kaccha road . For these 2 drawbacks I have given 4 star rating or else we can call it a 5 star hotel at cost of 3 star. This hotel is a real value for money

overall the stay was good there was certain points that i need to highlight as our room was at second floor pool and restaurant view, on 15th feb night at around 11.45pm saw a black cat coming out from restaurant kitchen with dead mouse on her mouth and there was stain on the floor and the cat came from the place where all the coffee cups/plates was set for morning breakfast, hotel management should do period pest control in restaurant and kitchen inorder to avoid such issues. it's a serious safety issue and hygiene issue

Great hospitality and beautiful location and very friendly staff. Loved it. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet time at Goa
