HYTON GROOVE OOTY

The worst place to stay in Ooty. I would have given a negative rating if allowed. To start with , this place does not have a power backup if in case the electricity is not there. We stayed at the property for 2 nights, and the experience was horrible. No warm water is made available by any means .During December-January, the temperature in ooty is very very cold, that you cannot even wash your face with the regular water, leave aside taking a bath without warm water. I would ask others to think over a hundred time before booking this place for your stay . Its entirely up to you if you want to spend your vacation with beautiful memories or want to ruin it.The road leading to this place does not have even proper route , We took an Innova for this trip and even that had problems with the route leading to this hotel. Even with a ground clearance of 170+mm, the vehicle bottom touched the surface of a cemented bridge that had been constructed to connect this hotel.The sign in time was 12:00 pm and we reached around 1.00pm. The room should have been cleaned before it could be given to the guest. I would rank the room condition as worst, among all the places that I have stayed over the years . We had to request them to provide us a different room but they said that all the other room are big room with 4 beds and this is the one one available with 2 beds. We didn't argued much and politely asked them to clean the room. We were back to the hotel around 9pm after our sightseeing, and found that there is no electricity from past 4 hours due to some issue which they are unable to figure it out.It was completely dark. It was a very bad experience for us.I would request you not to spend your precious time and money on this hotel when there are lot of other good places to stay. Please avoid this hotel

This hotel is very good to stay. Has hot water 24/7. Has good garden. Food is good. Rooms are spacious. Compared to other hotels, this hotel has more space. It has villas/bunglows with family rooms , couple rooms or group rooms. There are seperate villas. We can book according to our needs. We booked a villa with 5 bedrooms and a hall. We had good privacy. We could see other guests when we go to the garden, otherwise we had good privacy. The cook and the staffs here were very polite. They get order for food based on our interest. Happy to have booked this resort. This is my second visit to Ooty. Comparing other hotels, Hyton Groove is far better to stay.

Rooms are good spacious and gave a pleasant stay. The resort has lot of open space and more places to sit outside the room and enjoy the day. Children will enjoy as they have ample play area and one neednt be inside the room always. Their cook gathered details of what we need for the day and provided us with good breakfast and a delicious dinner. They have good dine area and food is served hot. We had our dinner in the garden. Staffs are kind and attentive. I would recommend this to anyone who plans for Ooty as this resort has good view and good environment inside the campus where we can really feel happy about our stay in Ooty.

The hotel is like a small cosy cottage... could see a lot of friendly crowd around... it was clean and lively. Breakfast meals were also fine with several options. Just feel the only drawback for this hotel was its approach road. It was slightly far from the main road and the road was still under maintenance because of which we could not take our car there directly. Sorry I havent clicked the photographs of the surroundings. Nevertheless, this hotel was not a bad option in the given budget.
