Hotel Kufri Ashray

Very good budget hotel, lovely view, amazing staff - especially sharma ji - the manager was amazing. Even though rooms were small - keeping in mind the budget it was good. The place was clean also. Now the cons: 1. On our last night - at around 9:45 pm the hotel ran out of running water and even though the staff tried to get the water back up - it did not happen (they said because some people in their rooms left the water running). The manager was very apologetic and did send a bucket of water upstairs. But running water only came back up at around 6:30/7 am. So nearly 10-12 hours without tap/ running water left me in a bad taste. 2. The food has much scope to improve. The meals were below average (but i guess to each their own, we didnt like it- doesnt mean others wont). This is not a pro or con - but if anyone has knee / leg issues they should be aware that there are no lifts and they have to climb steep stairs to reach rooms. Overall the stay was not bad - but as I said the issue of not having running water for a night was too much for me. The hotel was safe. But at night it gets very quiet and there are not a lot of trendy eateries nearby. The roads dont have street light so it gets a little scary.

We had quite comfortable and picturesque stay at Ashray hotel, Kufri. Everything from rooms, location,Maintenence, food, comfort and stilt parking was well taken care of. Wall to wall mirror window facing the valley from east is indeed its USP. It is in fact one of the best hotel in this price range, quite better than others in the vicinity. We travelled with kids and staff was kind enough to provide us customised facilities. We are 100% content with the service and it is worth every penny. Car parking facility right below the hotel at the ground floor. Valley view from also the cafeteria also. Manager (at the reception) and the service staff (especially Arjun) were very helpful and accommodating . Kids enjoyed a lot. Milk and other eatables (required for the kids) were readily available. Entire family had a great time with the balcony.

Pretty good hotel, with all the modern amenities like geyser, clean bed, towels, ample amount of soap, cupboard, and yes the room had a great balcony with valley view. Hotel staff are very helfpul. Food prices could be better but considering their level of good service it is justified. They have their own parking space which can accomodate about 4-5 cars, mine was a bike which had a great place in the garage. Overall good experience.

hotel was good, location was awesome, but complimentary breakfast was so cheap. they provided us a separate menu and told us to choose one item per person only. we paid enough for breakfast while booking hotel. finally they given us limited pranthas without butter and curd. that was disappointed. rest hotel owner was good. manager Sharma g was good.
